It was the 419th completion for Brees, which broke the old mark of 418 held by Oakland’s Rich Gannon in 2002. Brees finished the day with 35 completions and wound up with 440 for the year. Brees also set the club record for touchdown passes in a season with three scores Sunday. He finished with 28 TDs, breaking by one the mark established by Aaron Brooks in 2002. Brees completed 67.5 percent of his passes (440 of 652), which broke his own mark of 64.3 percent which he set in 2006. Earlier this season, Brees broke the club records for pass attempts and completions. |
