Possible round 1 trading partners

No. 12 draft spot a difficult place to fill team's primary needs
The Broncos find themselves in a tough spot in the draft, sitting at No. 12 on the board, which at this early stage of the offseason appears a bit too low to grab one of the top two offensive tackles available (Michigan’s Jake Long or Boise State’s Ryan Clady) or top two defensive tackles (LSU’s Glenn Dorsey or USC’s Sedrick Ellis) and way too early to fill their void at safety. Any one of those four names would fill an obvious need following the release of underachieving DT Sam Adams and the retirement of longtime OLT Matt Lepsis. While a lot of things can change from now until April, if those four are gone by the time they’re on the clock, it would likely force the Broncos into going in a different direction in the first round, whether it means trading up (a Mike Shanahan specialty) or down or perhaps looking at a wide receiver such as Michigan’s Mario Manningham or Oklahoma’s Malcolm Kelly with Javon Walker’s future with the team considered in doubt.

This move could bring us a high 4th rounder in trade value.

At 15 we have:

Rogers’ career with Lions might be nearing end
It appears that DT Shaun Rogers’ time with the Lions is waning. Head coach Rod Marinelli wouldn’t speculate about Rogers’ status when asked at the Senior Bowl this week, but there have been many reports circulating out of Detroit that his attitude and play down the stretch bothered the coaches to the point where they don’t think he can contribute to the team at the level of his salary. There are three years left on the six-year, $46 million contract extension he signed during the 2004 season, and his base salary is believed to be $5 million for next season. Even though Rogers had a productive first half of the season, conditioning issues made him a rotation player, as he rarely could play more than 40 snaps in a game. And down the stretch, right as the team’s play turned south, Rogers was nowhere to be found, save for a two-sack game against the Chiefs once the season had gone into the tank. It’s not clear what the team might get for Rogers in a trade, even with defensive tackle being such a valued position. In any case, you can add defensive tackle to the Lions’ long list of defensive needs.

This could bring us a low third round pick in trade value.

Right now I would take Denver's pick. Cost 4th (107) and 5th (131).

i would not be surprised if the saints took clady if he was available at the 10th spot with no trade, and if they start picking up some defensive players in f.a., i would not be surprised at all if they go offensive.....
