Jolly good ??? Saints headed to London

Jolly good: Saints headed to London- NOLA.com

"When I was initially called, most people were expecting us to say, 'Gosh, we hate to lose a home game,' " said Stephen Perry, the president and CEO of the New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau, who was on hand for Friday's announcement in Phoenix. "As a fan, you miss having the home game. But from a business perspective, this could be a very powerful move for both New Orleans and the state because it gives us an unprecedented opportunity to craft and illustrate a new brand for New Orleans in our single biggest foreign market.

And if we get blown out by 47 points by one of the best teams in the NFL? I wonder if that will help our team's following and image.

The flip side to that is what if the Saints beat them? If the game is close and both teams play well then that will help New Orleans win or lose.

This quote helps me swallow the bitter pill of the loss of a home game (again). Here's hoping we see a bunch of Saints jerseys and Mardis Gras attire and Saints umbrellas.

honestly....do you think the saints D will stop the chargers? LT will run wild and their defense wil be all over the saints....and the saints will just choke because it is a big event...and it just seems unlikely for the saints to pull this one off....in the dome. very possible.... in london..just seems bad...

The new guy's a bit abrasive, yeah?

So you've chalked this up as a loss already? Les Miserables. Look, I'm no zen master but my opinion is that you're a fan for the wrong reason. Expecting failure and hating everything the team does just seems wrong.

Our run defense is not that bad. with FA and the draft coming up I believe we will get better. I have FAITH and TRUST in sean and believe the saints will address the defensive needs this year. The true test is jet lag.

That's true. The run defense was much improved last season. I know they targeted that as a primary goal, and I've got to admit they were somewhat successful in achieving it. But it's easy to forget that sometimes when everyone was throwing at will against us.
