Strolling Down Memory Lane
 

I guess, I'll show my age a bit now. <grin>

When I lived in New Orleans, I used to work at the Time Saver (I understand they don't exist at all anymore) on David Drive right across from the Old Saints Practice facility. Is the new facility still in the same location? The BEST po-boys were right next door!

I remember working one fall/winter when Archie Manning was named to the pro bowl. He was standing out in front of the sandwich shop. Me being the arogent High School kid and Die hard Cowboy fan at the time. Yelled at him to say Hi to Roger Staubauch for me. What a jerk I was. Always wanted to apologise to him after I got older and realized how mean I had been to him. Got to give it to Archie though, he was a class act. He just looked at me and said sure, no problem.

Frank Warren(?) used to come in driving his black Trans-Am or Firebird and fill up with gas.

It was an interesting place to work as a teen. The players were very approachable. How they are now, I don't know, I live in a place where we don't really have the opportunity to interact with pro players.

Oh well. Back from the way-back machine <grin>
