Humbled RB Bush looking for fresh start in New Orleans

Saints RB Reggie Bush spoke with New Orleans media for the first time since the season ended as he hosted a charity event during the recent NBA All-Star weekend in the Crescent City. Word is he showed some signs of maturity. Bush appeared humbled by a trying sophomore season, in which he missed the final four games because of a knee injury and averaged just 3.7 yards per carry and 5.7 per catch. Our source said Bush wants to spend more time in New Orleans this offseason than he did last year, which could help his relationship with teammates. Some Saints players were less than sympathetic when Bush struggled in his second season out of USC. Last offseason, Bush spent a lot of time away from the team, working out with a private trainer. Other good news for the Saints is that Bush does not need surgery to repair the torn posterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.

Re: Humbled Bush

That is what I have been wanting, yurning, praying, waiting to hear! It is nice to hear a "SuperStar" admit he screwed up, and didn't play up to his potential and do something about it. Restored a little faith in Reggie for me. Hope it helps him.

Re: Humbled Bush

You know I dont know why but last year I had a bad feeling right after our first game against the Colts. It wasnt just because we played the Colts, it was the way we played as a team. My gut feeling stayed true and we went
7-9. I have a really good feeling about 08' and the Reggie Bush campaign!!!

Re: Humbled Bush

I won't have a good feeling about '08 until the front office brings in the right players.

Re: Humbled Bush

Good info on Reggie. I just never got a sense of urgency from this team last season. This offense can be great, but it's almost like they didn't want it bad enough. Maybe after getting shown that they aren't untouchable, they'll come back fighting mad in 08.

Well, those three things sure sounded better than "Free Flo Doh" (which I believe is pronounced "drop my pants").

Would someone please tell me that Reggie Bush plans on training with the TEAM this year, as in the FOOTBALL TEAM. You know, that thing he's getting paid millions of dollars to do (and no, I don't mean making cheesy commercials).
