PATS' FAULK ARRESTED by Michael David Smith

New England Patriots running back Kevin Faulk was arrested on charges of misdemeanor marijuana possession on Friday night, multiple media outlets are reporting.

A Louisiana native, Faulk was reportedly arrested at the Cajundome, the arena in Lafayette, Louisiana that is home to the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns basketball team.

Shalise Manza Young of the Providence Journal cites KATC in reporting that Faulk was at a concert featuring rapper Lil Wayne and a random security check "turned up four joints."

Faulk is the second Patriot arrested on marijuana charges this month; defensive back Willie Andrews was arrested two days after playing for the Patriots in the Super Bowl.

We will re-set the "days without an arrest" meter to zero after it reached a whopping total of two, and the Patriots are off to an impressive start in Turd Watch II after failing to record a single arrest in Turd Watch I.

Report: Faulk passes drug test

According to a report in The Daily Advertiser newspaper in Louisiana, Patriots running back Kevin Faulk, who was cited for marijuana possession last Friday, passed a drug test and will not have to enter the NFL's substance abuse program.

Faulk told the paper he talked to coach Bill Belichick and immediately submitted to a drug test, which was taken on Monday. He said the results of the test were negative.

Faulk has been charged with simple possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor, after he was found with four hand-rolled cigars filled with the illegal substance while attending a Lil Wayne concert at the Cajundome in Lafayette, La., last Friday.

The passing of a drug test would not affect those charges.

Although he will still be charged with possession, Faulk admits the coat which he was wearing and included the "blunts" was someone elses.

Not a wise decision on Faulk's behalf. His actions have let many people down including the youth of our society which look up to him. Not a very good role model right now.

Moral of the story : choose your friends more wisely and DON'T try to smuggle blunts into a Lil' Wayne rap concert .
