Completely off my rocker: What about Moss?
this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; SFIAH... no matter how you want to slice and dice it, Moss is a still a WR. I'm sure you know what you've said and how you've come across... I don't think I need to go copy and paste it....

sign colston to an extension, give meach a chance to show he was worth a 1st rd pick, and maybe pick up another veteran to complement the youngsters, but DO NOT SIGN MOSS! He may have had a monster year, but he whines if he's not the focal point and doesn't get the ball. Don't stunt the development of our quality young guys by bringing in a could be cancer! The NE receiver I'd rather have is Welker, but alas he's not available.

One of the things Sean Payton preached and tried to emphasize was that team character was important. See the acquisition of Vilma, proven leader at all levels, mature and focused person. Moss instantly downgrades that aspect of our team. All he did in NE was prove that much like TO and Chad Johnson, when he is winning and in the personal spotlight as a superstar he is content and happy. Put any of them in situations that are less than perfect, have any adversity and they become distractions and lightning rods for bad press.
