Gator,

I\'ll agree with on the majority of your points, but I just did\'nt see that much to like in Bouman\'s performance tonight. O\'Sullivan seemed a lot more at ease than Bouman -- yes I know that he was playing against the Eagles 4th stringers, but at least he seemed to be using his head and making thins happen.

In my opinion the main reasons we looked so bad tonight was across the board poor tackling (something that plagued us all year last season), no real pass rush, too many dropped balls and no running game to speak of at all.

If we can get these problems remedied (not even completely fixed), we can still go a long way.

Go SAINTS!!!!!

I think they improved defending the screen pass

I am too Gator. I just hope they don\'t make it too hard on us this year. I\'m tired of my hair turning gray every winter and I want to finally go to a Superbowl where I don\'t have to decide who I\'m gonna cheer for.

Go SAINTS!!!!!

INDIVIDUAL PLAY
GOOD
1. AB looked solid, despite his injury.
2. Special Teams looked pretty special despite few break downs.
3. Bouman looked pretty impressive despite dropped balls
4. Woodbury looks like a solid project for the future.

BAD
1. New faces on defense still beginning to find their roles
2. No clear leadership on both sides of the ball
3. Keaton looks like he shouldn\'t earn the 2 spot behind Deuce ( We\'re in trouble if Deuce goes down)
4. Offensive line got pushed around all over the roster.
5. Defensive line couldn\'t muster an effective pass rush
6. Note number 5 made DBs look very bad, but they\'re faster and tackled well at times
7. Poor tackling across the board
8. Rookies on both sides played below expectations
9. TE\'s never worked into offensive play calling
10. Screen pass looks just as bad as last year

Whodat, I think you were right about our need to upgrade the MLB. Ruff looked more like he was getting RUFFED up on running plays and average on passing plays.
Lets hope we get better before the season kicks off!
Gator
Wow, I agree with every point. Except Ruff. I thought he looked decent considering every DL was single teamed and ragdolled. Kenny Smith was the only DL with any penetration and desire.

I expected some breakdowns and poor play because of all the new faces and new positions, but I didn\'t think it would look that bad.

Overall, sloppy.
IT LOOKED LIKE OUR 1ST STINKIN\' PRESEASON GAME OF THE YEAR

summary...........good things that happened......i fell asleep at half time......
all i saw was a half a## practice game on the saints part.......
lewis looked liked the only one who thought it was\'nt pre-season....electrifying, is\'nt he? deep down, i know they were\'nt showing anything, and that\'s what i saw......but the taste of lewis will be burnt in their brains come the real season.........
neither bouman nor tory let me down and jt surprised.......
defensively, they have my rating from last yr......nftwh (not for the weak hearted)
the only bright spot i saw was the espn\'s pre- game show where they actually talked good about the saints........oh well, bring on the next one.......smitty
