The front office has some unwritten rules they must follow in order to run the team properly.

Rule No 1. Never say anything about a player that would diminish his market value.

Rule No 2. Never say anything about your players that will scare off free agents.

That sort of puts everything Loomis said in a different light, doesn't it?

If 98% of what he said is BS, I hope the 2% that's not BS includes the purported recovery of Deuce and MM.

I do wonder if we'll see MM at all this season.

Haven't some teams been interested in Simoneau? Maybe the positive spin is for trade value? (Although game film does not lie Mickey)

That's my guess. Loomis and the coaches can't be so football ignorant as to believe what Mickey said about Simoneau. It's got to be posturing for trade value.
