One could say that an uninformed fan is one that expects a coaching staff to be successful in their first year. Oh, the Saints were successful in their first year.

An uniformed fan coud be a fan that continually bashes a coaching staff that took over argueably the worst team in the leage a few years back and turned it around.

An uninformed fan could be a fan that can't see that the Saints are very close to putting together a super bowl team.

An uninformed fan could be a fan that thinks the defense is going to be terrible because of the first preseason game.

An uninformed fan could be a fan that thinks the coaching staff is always trying to pull the wool over their eyes and beleives this is another water gate.


Now an informed fan would go like this:

He realizes that the Saints collapsed at the end of the season the last 2 years and the coaches are trying to correct that problem. No conspiracy.

He realizes that we might not have the best coaching staff in the league, but they have done a pretty damn good job.

He realizes that if the defense has improved this year that we have a very good chance of going to the super bowl.

He realizes that the coaching staff has to put a positive spin on things because the media damn sure is going to put a negitive spin on it.


Now call me crazy, and I'm sure that you will, but that's telling it like it is.

An uninformed fan is one who sticks his head in the ground and pretends everything is alright when in fact the lion is about to pounce. An uninformed fan is one who makes excuses for what is continually a problem. An uniformed fan is one who forgets this team made it to the playoffs several times under Mora, should we have kept him around?

An informed fan is one who sees the team for what it is , takes the abuse from other fans, and still watches and roots for them year after year. An informed fan is one who can still form opinions about the rights and wrongs of the team and still root for them. An informed fan is one who always wants the best for the team even if it means changes.
An informed fan is one who keeps his business at home in a Saints forum among family.

The bottom line is this: We\'re all part of the same family and even though we disagree on the finer points of how a football team is run we will still be there, side by side, drinking our beer and screaming our collective heads off against any and all who challenge us. That\'s a truly, informed, fan.

I have yet to see ANYONE here say that everything is alright and there are no problems. As far as a lion about to pounce, that\'s your OPINION and may very well be true, but you have nothing to support it with.

Again, I\'ve heard no one do that. I have heard several people say that the defense played terrible in the preseason game, but you can\'t draw conclusions based off one preseason game.

In the end we all love our Saints good or bad.
But there is one thing that I\'d like an answer to if I may get it....Just exactly how many times did Mora bring us to the playoffs????

Call me any thing you wish including an uninformed fan. But I\'ve consumed my weight in Rolaids and Tylenol over the last 34 seasons, and although I\'m a fan from afar, (S.C.) I\' am a Saints fan. I can remember listening to the Saints on Armed Forces Radio at Danang in the middle of the night and pulling for Archie in his first season with the Saints. I\'ve had my hopes high over the begining of each season only to have them dimmed by mid season, but I\'m still a fan, and yet when the Panthers came to the region I didn\'t jump ship and leave the Saints. Lately the Saints have started off well only to collapse at years end. Some blame it on the D and some blame the O, I just want to see wins and no excuses. I reckon you may call me a pesimest along with being uninformed, it seems to me that as much as this team has had going for it the last couple of years we have found ways to lose instead of ways to win, down the stretch championship teams find a way to win although they may poorly at times.
But on the lighter side, it appeared that against the Eagles the Saints didn\'t do much blocking so they made up for it by not tackling! All that speed on D and no ability to tackle , back to the basics.
Oh well, lets just find a way to win theses games one at a time.
Here is hoping for a better season.
