The NFL has stripped the 49ers of their 2008 fifth-round pick after finding the club guilty of tampering with Bears LB Lance Briggs last October.

The Bears and Niners will also switch picks in the third round, giving Chicago the No. 39 selection. San Francisco moves back to No. 44. This is a pretty significant blow to the 49ers' draft and a nice lift for the Bears. Like he has with off-field conduct, it appears commissioner Roger Goodell will crack down on tampering going forward.

I am sorry, but after watching him screw the city out of a home game for absolutely no reason, and then destroy the NE tape, again for no reason, I cannot respect anything that guy does or will do.
