Ryan is an option. Nah
This would set us up for a trade down in round one. Alot of teams are really eying these two.

OOPS! That's what I get for not reading the original post all the way through. Sorry.

First off I'd be sick. I'd probably then take Balmer from NC.

WR would be a terrible choice, bc they are so hit or miss. If this is the case I would hope to trade down, but with all of my Dorsey, Ellis, and Rivers gone I gotta go with Clady if we can't trade down. He will be a great tackle. Very little risk. And we can now trade Stinchcomb who is in the final year of his contract, move Jamal Brown back to RT where he is more comfortable and plug Clady in immediately at LT. I think Stichy's value would be about a 4th rounder or so. Or we could use him for a trade for someone like Fabian Washington. I know Oakland has a weak offensive line so it might work.

My problem with the Jenkins pick is that he is not as sure of a thing as an OT. None of the CBs in this years draft are. A good one will fall to #40 where we can get him. I'm thinking Brandon Flowers.

I have no problem with the Mendenhall pick other than I don;t think it is as much of a need position. I honestly think that if given the chance Pierre Thomas can be a good RB. He has done nothing but look good every time we play him.

Feel free to vent some more Missile, but I stand by my choice if this is how the draft shapes up.

I'd take Jenkins, but he would be moved to free safety.

It's the same argument that we've had all offseason. The team isn't going to get significantly better by improving the offense. The offense is already in the top 5 in the NFL in most categories.

The best way to improve the team is to improve the defense. So we pick the best available defensive player of need with that #10 pick. My order is DT, CB, LB, S.

Re: Who Do You Take?

The obvious pick is Deuce's replacement. Mendenhall. Can Deuce finish the season and how much more does he have in the tank anyway???

It has already been posted that we have enough OL.

Who do you want to see taken here?

NO TRADES... not the question.
Being that both the top DT's and CB's are now off the board, I'd probably go with Jenkins or whoever we have rated as the better tackle out of Clady, Otah, and Williams. Mendenhall is going to be a good player in this league but I'm comfortable with Bush and Thomas handling the load next year should Deuce not be on this team anymore. Plus, there's plenty of value in the third round for runningbacks should we decide to draft one.

It would suck if the first 9 picks ended up like that for us... trade down!

Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.

All little common sense goes a long way.

That is even more reasons we should go WR... Make a number of choices one will pay off.

Bullocks is worse than David in my opinion. At least David can tackle, and catch the football. I can't think of one thing Bullocks does well

Re: Who Do You Take?

Oh and stop being so overdramatic Missile. You're not selling your season tickets for anything. If being a Saints fan has taught us one thing its how to deal with disappointment.
