saints eyeing vernon?

Vernon Gholston...Ohio State DE Vernon Gholston told Sirius NFL Radio that he had a four hour workout with the New England Patriots, and has upcoming visits scheduled with the New York Jets, New Orleans Saints, Oakland Raiders and St. Louis Rams...Gholston also mentioned that the Miami Dolphins have yet to contact him regarding a visit.

This guy is super-talented and as much as I think he would be the number one DE on the team, I do not want to move up to get him. if he is there at 10, he would be the best player available.

I def don't think that Gholston will be there at 10 but i aslo don't think we should trade up for Dorsey. I think that Ellis would be a better fit. (We don't need more injury prone people on our team)

I know I will get ripped to shreds, but my gut says Ellis is a better fit for New Orleans defense than Dorsey. It's nothing to do about injuries. It's just a gut feeling.. My own opinion.. just like you all have your own feelings..
Gholston will be gone in the first 5 picks. I AM SHOCKED miami is not atleast in more contact.. i think everyone in the top 5 wants to trade down but can't.. not many teams are interested in trading up this year. not even dallas is interested in gettin into the top 5.. maybe top 10..

i think gholston is high on their board but they are showing less interest in a hope to trade down and pick him up l8r.. miami runs the 3-4 and since the next few teams dont, i doubt stl, atl, oak, or KC is gonna want him.. so maybe try to trade with KC.. KC takes jake long and then miami selects gholston at 5.. right ahead of the jets who are the 2nd team that runs a 3-4

ok.. dorsey isnt injury prone.. he hurt his left leg in 06 and ya know what... he never missed a game...

last year, he was having an amazing season and then in the auburn game, he was illegally chopblocked and still never missed a game.. kinda hard to not get hurt if a guy is diving right at your knees when u are being held...

how does ellis fit better? explain..

i think they both would fit perfectly... dorsey would take brian youngs place allowing him to return to where he played the best... on the bench... i could see our Dline on 3rd downs.. Smith, Dorsey, Grant, and McCray..
