Best CB of the bunch...

I don't know if anyone has posted this yet, but I was just curious. I realize only 4 are available but I'm basing this on the #10 pick (if applicable). Who do you perceive to have the greatest upside, thus becoming the better professional DB with the Saints? Reasons for your selection are encouraged.

- Leodis McKelvin
- Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie
- Mike Jenkins
- Aqib Talib

Re: Best CB of the bunch...

1. DRC - most upside, excellent recovery speed, good ball skills
2. McKelvin - not as raw as DRC, excellent returner, better competition
3. Jenkins - does everything well, nothing great, safest corner of the 4
4. Talib - very talented, ball hawk, takes too many risk which sometimes bite him in the behind

Now I don't know what they have in their scouting reports, that's just how I view each individual.

If I had the option to choose between either DRC or McKelvin at 10, I'd take McKelvin. He return abilities make him more intriguing... think Devin Hester who actually has a true position.

Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.

All little common sense goes a long way.

Great points PAPZ...

IMO All four are being looked at in case the Saints trade down.

Mike Jenkins- physical, fast, instinctive, versatile.

I think that Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie would have the most upside of all of them. Hes 6'1 like 202 and ran a 4.39 in the 40 I think.
Hes big hes physical and fast so hes a much better prospect of any of the others. But i dont think that the Saints will draft him if hes even there. I think that the Saints will end up takeing LB Keith Rivers with the 10th pick.

McKelvin and DRC; I wouldn't take the other two in Round 1; just see too much risk taking a DB in Round 1 in the past...

Re: Best CB of the bunch...

You do realize that taking a CB and passing on a great RB will make Buddy D. turn over.

Re: Best CB of the bunch...

at 10 none are worth it and then again neither is Rivers. I really hate this draft. Value wise the safe gambles are at 20 and lower.
