Saints to keep Deuce through Training Camp

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; If they want Mendenhall they will still draft him no matter what Deuce's status is. It would be foolish for the FO to alter their strategy based on the assumption that Deuce will be healthy the entire year. You know ...

You know what happens when our FO makes an assumption, they make an ass out of season ticket holders and umption.

Re: Saints to keep Deuce through Training Camp

In the 1st round the Saints take -- Dr. James Andrews
James R. Andrews, M.D.
Doctor James R. Andrews, orthopaedic surgeon, is one of the founding members of the Alabama Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center (ASMOC) and the American Sports Medicine Institute (ASMI) in Birmingham, Alabama, located at St. Vincent’s Hospital. He serves as Chairman and Medical Director of ASMI. Doctor Andrews is also a founding partner and Medical Director of the Andrews Institute located in Gulf Breeze, Florida

Saints officials said "Doc as we like to call him knows our team better then anyone. After all he's put half of them back in one piece..."

Re: Saints to keep Deuce through Training Camp

Deuce is the Saints as far as I am concerned. However, don't get your hopes too high. Dude is coming off his second ACL injury, and had microfracture on the knee that was injured in 2005. Not looking all that good, but at least the Saints restructured his contract so that means there is some hope he can comeback.

With all of that in mind, I am going to make a prediction. I usually don't like making predictions but here it goes. The Saints will draft Rashad Mendenhall.

Re: Saints to keep Deuce through Training Camp

hey we kept ol whats his name at CB??? You know the other piece of toast in the toaster...Oh yeah, Fred Thomas, that right. He was around for another year and never got him on the field. So Duce should have no problems hanging out for two years.
Not to knock FT that way he did give us some good years. Age caught up with him.
