New Era Scouting » Stretching the Field: One Man Island

Not sure how reliable these guys are but they seem to believe that the Shockey trade is just a formality at this point.

I hope this is just crazy talk.

So be it. I just hope we do not give our second and Harper. That to me is crazy. We need to get creative. If harper is part of the deal and we do not have a 4th then we are in a world of trouble replacing him with just a 1st and a third.
Maybe the saints have another trade up there selves? Brown? Grant? Smith? Stinch? This has me wondering.
Please work out like this

I wouldn't mind Shockey if he comes cheap. I think we will go after a Tight End second round anyway, so if we give up a second for an established pro bowl tight end-I wouldn't mind(although I would like to see us go dfnse all the way through)

Yeah that's the thing, give up Bullocks or Simoneau or we should have signed Mare back and gave him up.
