I think weve tried that with mixed results in the past 2 drafts.

Yeah but in the Colts defense they haven't had an early draft pick since when???

They pretty much settle for whomever is left over.

The draft is pretty much a crap shoot. You could do just as well at the racetrack. Look at Meachum and at our 7th round wonder from 2 years ago and go figure.

Wow, he talks about Jonathan Stewart being too much to pass up at 10 if we stay there and McKelvin is gone. I think Stewart will be a tremendous pro but I think he can be had later in the 1st round.

To early to judge meachum... WR typically don't break out their rookie year.

Colston was a freak!!! He isn't human. Even Paytons said it himself 'if they would have known they would have drafted him a lot earlier'!

i have to mention this...just goes to show how non-existent last year's first pick (meachem) really is...we got two forum members spelling his name (meachum)...i just thought that was kinda funny...i for one am putting a bullseye on this kid's back...i'll be watching his routes/playing time during each play...he needs some strong numbers this year to win me over

Lol with colston's production he could've easily been a 1st round pick....he has great size and great hands the only question was his speed and because he came out of hofstra....he has descent speed and apparently hofstra has good taste....i was more than upset when they drafted meachum but after having to deal with it for the past season i've re-examined the rankings of players from last year and meachum was second on most boards just behind the beast that calvin johnson is....im content with the pick now
