Saints | Team looking to trade up for McKelvin
Tue, 22 Apr 2008 22:41:28 -0700

Josh Buchanan, of NFLDraftBible.com, reports the New Orleans Saints are looking to trade up for Troy CB Leodis McKelvin. The Saints worked McKelvin out Tuesday, April 22, and came away very impressed. The Saints are afraid the New England Patriots or Baltimore Ravens will get McKelvin, so they are looking to move up from No. 10 overall in the 2008 NFL Draft.

I'd be satisfied only if Ellis and Dorsey are off the board when we pick, lol. I love McKelvin, you people underrate him. He'll be a great man-to-man cover corner and he's invaluable in the return game. If he turns out as good as Pacman I won't be surprised.

man-o-man are the saints ever laying down the smoke screens this year. We are talking to everyone about everyone. I like it. No stone unturned.
Ok I will go with this one. Yes he is good. I would not mind the pick. But once again looking at draft history there is no way he is a top 10 talent in any other draft. It is still a gamble with a lot of money on a small school CB that really does not measure up to previous top 10 talent. Maybe he is and I am just not seeing it.

Preach on. I'd rather take Antoine Cason, much further down than 5th overall.

Good observation, and I hope you are right. I wouldn't want him at 10, let alone losing a third to get him at 6.

you guys don't get how good McKelvin is lol. He's the best CB in the draft. in last years draft he'd be a top 15 pick.

Hey, while you've got your crystal ball out - would you mind giving me the winning lottery numbers?

Can you say rope-a-dope. No way do the Saints move up to take McKelvin. It's nice to see that they are making people think they would, though.

thats not even close to speculation buddy, he's proven himself in the return game and as a man to man cover corner.
