Sully looked good in a uniform as well. Lets just not get "carried away" ok?

u know why im head over heels for this kid?....because hes a f@#%ing saint...thats why...i am freaking pumped....im allowed to be because thats what the offseason is about....u get excited for a new season...everything starts over....forget the records...the hype....the stories from last year.....its a new day bro....ne thing can happen....its no different than drooling over sedrick ellis or carl nicks or adrian arrington or tracy porter or the plethera of undrafted rookies or our new linebacking core or our new secondary additions or the potential of bobby mccray at DE....or the possible addition of #80 who shall remain nameless....ur right....im head over heels....but its for the new season.....and i know im not the only one

Mehlhaff is going to win games for us NEXT year. not to belittle any of our other acquisitions this offseason, but this guy may be the best of the bunch simply because kickers put up more points than anyone else on the team! (excluding ladainian tomlinson)

thats exactly why im so excited about the pick...kickers dont get drafted ne more and when they do....its because they are good....mehlhaff has the potential to replace john carney in our record books all together....i want him to be our all-time leading scorer...i want him to kick the final field goal with .03 on the clock...i want him to win us a super bowl like adam vinitari(forgive spelling)...i want him to be the man...i am all aboard this kid...i think he makes the team as the KO and the field goal specialist

Drafted kickers are always good, right?

Apparently you don't even know your own Saints history there. Get a clue man. And besides, your little message board posts and idealism is not going to do anything for this guys game.

But hey, if daydreaming about mostly unlikely scenarios is your thing hop, frog, hop. Just dont' act like everyone is in on your delusions about it, ok? Lets not forget the wild speculations that came with one RB that hasn't quite "lived up to the hype" so its a bit more responsible and mature to not get all wide eyes and speculative yet....

God I hate kickers. I think they should pay their teams for the privelege of playing.

If the kid will tackle and be a threat on trick plays, I may warm up to him.

drafted kickers usually turn out good...kickers are one of the easiest positions to judge coming out of college because really their job doesnt change much...and as far as the running back that didnt live up to the hype...dont talk about PT like that lol....ppl will jump on u....i think mehlhaff will come in and be a great saint for years....thanks for the buzzkill tho buddy..somebody always manages to come on a good thread and kill it with somethign like that

why do u hate kickers...they almost always lead the team in points scored and sometimes win games pretty much all by themselves....i think kickers are so underrated....they deserve a lot more credit than they get...the bad thing is that they are easily replaced so that means that they dont make too much money(NFL money)...i'd be happy with 300K a year lol

Great Vids : I think preseason is going to be the proving ground for him. We will see for ourselves then. Think that Gramatica will stay or will his pride be hurt if this guy beats Him out ? Hope the team will keep both for insurance as Gram did come through for us last year and I think Gram is an damn good field goal kicker (of course kickoffs he is just average). Problem is a lot of teams think kickers are expendable and the Saints traditionally have been one of the worst allowing this to happen. I hope last year taught Payton a lesson.
