Moorestead may have a few number skewed but he has improved with each game. Rookie jitters? maybe. I am cooking my crow right now. It is on slow cook but by game 8 it should be ready.

Re: Crow... the other other white meat

The only player I have consistently bagged on is good ol' number 25. And so far, his "inconsistency" is the only consistent thing about him. I will gladly chow down on some crow, if he would get his head out of Ms. Kardashian's rear end, and have that breakout season, that everyone keeps saying he's going to have.

I liked the Shockey trade. He's a gamer.

Yes...but we need for him to be a "seasoner".

I'm with Hagan...I need more time. Shockey needs to finish the season healthy with no distractions along the way. So far...so good.

I will give Payton his dues when/if he gets us to the SB, but I don't think I will ever like him. Fortunately, it doesn't matter how I feel about him.

I never had anything bad to say about Brees talent wise, but most know that I am not crazy about how much energy he burns trying to pump players up. It's just a personal taste thing for me. I don't think that will ever change, either.

I have said all along that I will gladly eat crow when the time is right, but, personally, I think a lot of people are jumping the gun with this, and I am a firm believer in karma, jinxes, etc. We've been 3-0 before...we've had meltdowns before, also. You would think that everybody would take what is happening right now with cautious optimism based on this franchises history, but far be it from me to try to crash the party. I will, however, wait and see how the rest of the season unfolds before I start celebrating.

Whether you think you can or think you can't...you're right!

What's wrong with Reggie getting some a$$?? And his 'inconsistencies' existed long before she was in the picture.

The "breakout" ain't going to happen. He does lead the team in yards from scrimmage, though.

I was in agreement with all the moves but Moorestead. After checking out Evans I surely thought he could do more than Karney. Cannot picture Karney making the moves this guy has. Stats are deceiving sometimes but I think Moorestead will prove to be a good pick. I believe hang time and touch backs mean more.

Isn't it amazing how winning hushes the whining! If we keep winning, no one has to have a break-out season- not Brees, Colston, Shanley, Shockey, or Ellis. Everything is acceptable when you are winning. I'll take my crow with rice, for daring Payton to show me that he WOULD commit to running the football, and so far, he has. If we keep rushing for over 100 per game, up my prediction to 12-4.

Re: Crow... the other other white meat

We can put some Cajun Sunshine on that Crow, Frenzy. It was great in
the duck gumbo I had Sunday---woooo! yeah!!!

And I think Moorestead looks great.

As for my own personal criticisms, I'd like to see another good performance from our two "bookends" before I remove my comparison in their hustle to that of these guys:

...that said, Grant & Smith are now beating these hardheaded fellows in the sack total by exactly one.
