Illegal Hit?

Cornerback Dale Carter hits Tightend Eric Johnson,and Johson gets a broken collarbone.Now coach Dennis Ericson wants a review to see if the hit was illegal.First of all Eric Johnson would probably make two Dale carters.I didn't see anything wrong with the hit.These coaches and refs that don't think football should be so rough need to go and coach flag football.In the old days a corner would have won the congressional medal of honor for a hit on a tightend like that.Now all you get is a bunch of whining coaches and refs,and a review from the NFL.Before you know it the NFL is going to make it illegal to hit at all.They'll probably have all the players wear flags on their asses,and make the defense grab those instead of tackling.I sure miss the days of Ronnie Lott,Steve Atwater,and Tyrone Braxton.Imagine the fun the today's NFL would have had with the hit between Ronnie Lott and Dalton Hilliard in the dome years ago.The NFL is supposed to be tough,so coaches and refs and whoever else wants to whine,Shut Up ! Go coach Flag Football !

Well Said. I thought many of the leading with the helmet calls last year were a joke. Touching the QB after the release is out now and grounding outside the tackles is legal. If you don\'t get a penalty on the field petion the league and they will get a fine for you. There isn\'t really much left to make a penalty unless they start to flag defenses for hurting players feelings for not letting them score.

Notice Carter hits him right in front of a zebra . There was no flag , what would the commisioner review ?? Zebra stupidity ???
