If you can improve you should always look to, but SS has played much better this year.

Re: Shanle

I think Shanle has been really good. I'm glad he's stepped up! As far as drafting a LB....I don't think it's a "need" as much as past years, but if there is a stud...yeah you get him.

Re: Shanle

We got a rookie on IR that we are yet to see. I feel we don't have that many glaring weaknesses as we used to. We can pick BPA and get somebody good on any position. I'd like a DT or a young DE.

Re: Shanle

who is the rookie again? and yeah i think we should get a young big DT. someone to be along side Ellis. we should get another pass rush DE for backup.

Re: Shanle

if you guys would've watched him last year you would've been equally impressed.....hes really not doing anything better this year than he did last year but his play is getting noticed a little more because of the blitz and coverage packages hes playing in

Re: Shanle

Straight up BPA, I just hope its a DT/DE/OLB.

Wouldn't surprise me if we drafted a stud TE either.

I just hope there aren't any stud punters in the 2010 draft.

I agree with you, Canton. Whoa! Did I just say that? LOL. But, seriously. Shanle makes up for his lack of speed with hardnose play, solid tackling, a non-stop motor, and just playing smart. He has a good nose for the football. He always seems to be in or around the play against the run and the underneath passes. I also think he's getting noticed more because Peyton called him last year's defensive MVP. That's got people watching him a little closer now to see what they've been missing.
