Perfectly timed bye week?

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; alright so after a thundering start to the season our boys in black and gold are getting a week off from games with the bye. my question is.....are you upset that the bye week ruins our momentum or do you ...

I think this will give us a chance to review game footage and get ready for three teams that will test us on many levels

I think that is we play our cards right we have a chance at making this time very useful to us

I think it is perfect timing. It allows some of the key injured players on offense to get healthy again (i.e. Mike Bell, Lance Moore). I think they can be big contributors in the game against the Giants. Get everyone rested up and bring the A-game against one of the NFL's elite.

The stars seem aligned for an unprecedented season so far. We'll sit and watch to see if the Giants escape the Oakland game unscathed as far as injury additions.

Re: Perfectly timed bye week?

I don't think when a bye week is makes any difference. We usually come out after one with a loss so it doesn't really matter. I think PRO's can take a week off and pick up where they left off if they are coached right and have that PRO mentality. This one might hurt us just because of the pressure of the Game coming out of it.

Re: Perfectly timed bye week?

Maybe we can have a bye week every four weeks.... we'd extend the season by a month and play the SB in March. Draft would then just be a month away.

I hate bye weeks! Bye weeks have not really done us well in the past but it does let us heal going into a key streatch.
