Schlereth and Bruski picked saints

just saw on NFL live trey wingo asked who would win the super bowl if it was played between 2 of the 4 undefeated teams in the league

they both picked the colts over the broncos and the saints over the vikings

and surprisingly both said the saints were the most complete team and the most dominant team in the league......both of them picked us to win the hypothetical super bowl

I saw that. Sweet! On the same show they mentioned the Saints several times and everything they said was positive. It's good to be a Saint.

Re: Schlereth and Bruski picked saints

Maybe its just the many years of dissappointment for me, that WON'T allow me to think this way. I agree this team is the best saints team I have ever seen, but I feel really uncomfortable talking about superbowls. Steve young said we might run the table! With that idea, I remember the 07 pats. Won the season, the playoffs, lost the superbowl. I just can't see thinking about these things right now. I will end up in therapy.

HA HA HA ... I think we ALL feel this way. I've been a fan since I was 4 years old ... That's 28 years now ... I have ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS felt that my infatuation with this team would drive me to get therapy. Like most of you, I can hardly think about what the future holds because what I know about our past ... Even after we rolled the Giants I was making excuses on why we "got lucky" or how our special teams really sucked and that their performance somehow lessened our victory ... I think we're all pretty psycho about this team, but we deserve to be after what we've seen over the years!

In the end ... we all just want them to win it all so that we can finally have football peace (then we'll make excuses in the offseason about how it would be impossible to do again)

That would be a good "problem" to have!

Re: Schlereth and Bruski picked saints

This kind of talk scares me. I hate it when the THeads ALL pick the Saints. I have been watching this team for 42 years and YES, this is the best overall, bar none. I won't call it the K.O.D. because I don't want it to be. We need to show up EVERY week and play our game. We need to shut other teams down and open our can of whip@ss and crush teams week to week. I hope I never hear another SB Saint comment until the stage is set and we are there. I know that's not going to happens so, in the mean time "LA-LA-LA-LA-LA-LA I can't hear you...".
