It was a Sammy Knight hit.
SWEET especially since it was on the 49\'ers.
The only thing that disappointed me was that he\'d be back in 10 weeks.
1 down, 52 more to go.

Where\'s the San Andreas Fault when you really need it?

I like Sammy Knight and all but that hit was harder than Sammy Knight hits. I was at the game and you could hear the hit through the whole stadium. It was a very hard hit.

-- No Fine For Carter -- from FFMastermind.com

ESPN\'s John Clayton reports the NFL decided on Wednesday not to fine New Orleans Saints CB Dale Carter for his hit on 49ers TE Eric Johnson -- a hit that broke Johnson\'s collarbone and will sideline him for 10 weeks. The NFL determined that Johnson was not in a defenseless position when he was hit by Carter.
