Your favorite excuse line's

Well through out the weeks we have all read garbage on other forums for our success. I wanted to start this thread to see just how many excuses we could come up with on why we are winning. Everyone just put one a piece to see how many we can conjure up.

Here is mine

1. The problem with the Saints is that they are "peaking" too early...

I think the old refs called the game is one of my favorites.

The Saints are really just a finesse team that got lucky with the schedule.

Don't look now, but the ESPN portal is calling us "pass-happy". This now that we're pretty balanced ... have they watched a game this year?!

Not had a hand in his face
Hit the hole with some speed
Not run into the official
Not run before he caught the ball
Not flinched anticipating the hit
Not run scaredy-cat out of bounds before the 1st down marker
Not kicked the ball out of bounds
Not used his helmet as a weapon
Not held onto the defender as he was about to vaporize the QB
Been confident enough to wait for the snap count
Ignored the crowd noise
Called the right play
Checked off before the snap to the right play
Had a checkdown play
Picked up the blitz
Read that there was no blitz
Seen the cheating defender
Seen the open receiver
Fought for the extra yard
Not fought for the extra yard and fumbled
Did too much
Didn't do enough.
Relaxed
Played with more intensity
Had more talent
Had fewer injuries
Played through the pain
Waited for his concussion to heal

I'll add "had the QB not made BM in his pants upon seeing Roman Harper closing in on him" to your list.

Passed deep more
Hit more short passes
Ran wide
Ran inside
Dove into the pile
Dove over the pile
Driven his legs
Had more leg strength
Had stronger hands
Had better vision
Had quicker feet
Had better balance
Had better coaching
Listened to his coaches
Was at all coachable
Not been self centered
Not been a distraction to the team
Not been so young
Been younger
Come from a better program
Been overlooked
