... never play Marvin Mitchell again, ever. That guy is so terrible. Huge missed tackle to start the game off, and then a terrible offsides penalty that gave the Falcons a first down.

Dunbar played OK last night, I like the way he pops people but doesn't have good lateral quickness. Without Fujita, I think we need to see a starting linebacking trio of Vilma, Shanle, and Dunbar. Mitchell should be strictly a special teams player.

Indeed .... we can use some upgrades still on defense, despite its improvement heretofore with GW at the helm.

Another DT, DE and LB would be nice right about now.

best thing to do with players who cant play is blitz them......if they have to play then put them in the best situation to help the team succeed....even if they dont get a sack or pressure the QB, the blitz will help someone else get the opportunity to do that

never leave a weak player in coverage in the NFL, it will get picked on

I want to look at the play again with Mitchell called for offsides. The one replay I saw looked like he had a good jump with the snap.

I thought of that too, was wishing we had him yesterday in light of Fuji's injury. I've been down on Fuji lately due to his apparent lack of big plays like he used to, but now I realized exactly what a difference he is in there.

It's easy to see the difference in how the LBers play since Fujita has been out.

Mitchell is a good special teams player. Dunbar is a good special teams player. It appears that's all they will ever be.

Dunbar isn't a bad guy to have in there for spot duty, but Mitchell did not play well. He seemed to always be "out of position". He looked confused a few times, like he wasn't sure what to do, and he had trouble getting to the RB on outside runs. Fujita is missed and needs to come back this week. Our rush defense suffered without Sed and Fujita.

No ****! Biggest chunks of yardage is to the strong side with Scott out.

I have to wait till 2010 for this backup deal to get straightened out. come on FA and Draft.

Just jumped offsides on a punt. Luckily we had them backed up to 4th and 16, but if that had been a 4th and short, Mitchell would have given them a first down. This guy doesn't have what it takes upstairs to play at this level.

im missing fujita greatly. he was indeed one of our core key defenders. im just hoping he will be back for new england. although we shouldn't take those other teams lightly. mitchell was horrible. and i hope he progress atleast or learns from tonight how poorly he played.

FIujita should be back and going this week per reports. but i wouldn't be shocked if we held him out again for the rams.
