Take the Saints and leave the 13.5 against Carolina?

This game is like a playoff game for Carolina. Carolina is 3-4 and getting back to .500 will be priority #1 for them. This is an excellent trap game. I for one would take Carolina and lay the 13.5 points. They are going to give us their best shot.

Hopefully I'm wrong but... stranger things have happened against these clowns.

At 13.5 the great gambling heaven in Vegas will get tons upon tons laying the points for Carolina. Then when the Saints roll them by 17 Vegas will once again smirk as they count the Franklins.

We'll be fortunate to win. I'll take those points all day long.

Two battles in a row. Coming off a short week. Confident opponent. We're banged up...

Yeah, fortunate is right.

Wow, are the Saints really 13.5 favorites? That seems a little high. This game should be an all out war. Plus Carolina is 3-1 in their past four games, yes I know two of those games was against Washington and Tampa Bay, but that win last week against Arizona was pretty convincing.

agree with Matt T. That sounds like an awfully high spread for a couple of teams that hate each other, and always have a street fight, regardless of records, standings, etc.

I dont give a rat what the Panthers record is, they come to play when they come to the Dome. And whenever they're having a good year, we usually do our best to crap in their guacamole, when we visit their house. Treat them like the threat they are. The only thing easy about them could be due to Delhomme's struggles, (as much as I hate to see a Breaux Bridge boy struggle) which could come into play.

Can't wait to be in the Dome Sunday. I'm gonna yell like its 1987 and we're playing the 49ers.

awesome avatar, Matt. I wonder who the lady is they modeled for the mardi gras posters, assuming she is a real person, and not just an artist's imagination? not that I would start trying to email her or anything, for one, she'd be about 50 by now.

Im tired of hearing how important this game is to Carolina. Im tired of hearing about their running game. Im tired of hearing about our weaknesses. The fact is, we've learned lessons in the last two weeks that DIDN"T cost us games. That's how good we are. They're in OUR HOUSE and we're gonna give them a pimp smackin that's been coming for a long time. We scored 46 on a bad day on the road against Miami---LAY THE POINTS>

Re: Take the Saints and leave the 13.5 against Carolina?

carolina is no joke but they should be an easy win for us

they are allowing the 9th most points in the league and we are scoring the 1st most lol

they are 1st in pass defense but they are 24th in rush defense and we are currently 4th in rushing offense....i see no reason why we couldnt run the ball all the way home in this game

the only thing that worries me is that they are ranked 7th in total yards allowed which is a skewed statistic because of their terrible turnovers

they are a solid defense with a very good run game and unfortunately, they are good in just about every area that we are struggling.....the good thing is that we are good in everything and they cant stop us all the time

Re: Take the Saints and leave the 13.5 against Carolina?

Very worried about this game. Carolina is the worst match up for us and they always have been. They are an agressive defense that always gives Drew fits and their offense is smashmouth and we don't have a smashmouth DT right now. I am very worried about this game. I hope the dome is rocking.

Did anyone else notice that last week Matt Ryan(2nd year QB) was NOT fased one bit by the dome noise. SHEESH! I am scared. I hope I am wrong though. This game could very well be Carolina 31 New Orleans 10. Maybe they need a loss to take a closer look at the teams troubles.

New Orleans 24 Carolina 14.......Never take 13.5 points.

I didnt vote? Geez! I am too busy. This was a fast turnaround, too, you know I knew the Saints would be tired, because, driving back to Louisiana, I noticed for the 1st time, we were going to back-to-back games where we had the same phase of the moon.

Beer, couch, whatever my wife feels like feeding me, or else, I'll feed my self. I predict much sitting on my arse tonight, yall. tired!

Hey, good to be back in the B&G.com... I"ll see about posting some pics from the Dome tomorrow.
