Saints Slip to #2 in Most Power Ratings...

The Colts have replaced the Saints in most power ratings by beating the Patriots.
As I said in another thread, it turns out that the Saints are playing the second easiest schedule in the league based on win loss percentages. The Saints barely beat the Rams, can't stop the run effectively, have mounting injury problems and are turning the ball over way too much. Hardly something you would expect from the #1 rated team in football.

So who's EARNED the right to be rated the best team as of Week 11?
Look I know it doesn't matter, but it's still fun to ask and talk about.

i stink at rhyming....anyway

we shouldnt be ranked #1.......both of the undefeateds barely pulled out wins but the media rides the pats so hard that the colts victory over them has to put them ahead of us

Hey, I just wanted to post my avatar again and need a reason.

The Vikings are off to an early 3-0 lead. Maybe I should have reworded this thread.

Just by virtue of the teams played I would put Indy at #1. But we'll see when all the rankings start coming out. The week we beat the Pats to stay undefeated we had better be #1! :-D

Given recent performance, I think the Saints record of 9-0 is better than the team really is. Both the Carolina and the St. Louis games showed that the D is way soft right now. We need the starters to get healthy... quickly!

I want the winning streak to go on as much as anyone, but I think if something doesn't change, the Patriots are going to beat them badly.

If the Colts are ranked higher than us in February does that mean they get home field in the Super Bowl?

Here's what is truly up: with up to 5 defensive starters hurt we sill have:

-a 4 game division lead (our magic number is 3, baseball fans)
-a 3 game lead for a first round bye (truly astounding)
-and a one game lead for HF throughout the playoffs (suck it Brett)

You're avatar is smoking. You win school girl month (and I've seen some other good ones) as far as I'm concerned...

I hope we are #2 after the Colts win.

Obviously we are too good to be "under the radar", but I'd rather see someone else pack around the "best team in the NFL" ranking (for what it is worth in Week 11 = 0) for a while.

This Sunday I was kind of torn between the Saints fan in me who wanted them to win the game no matter what vs wanting the Rams to win so a) the natl media would turn its undivided attention to the Colts and the Farves, and b) more importantly, so the offense can refocus and realize they cannot be making the type of mistakes they are making and still win the game.

Are the Saints "as good as their record"? Well, the record doesn't measure how "good" you are. It measures how many games the team has won. Obviously, that doesn't mean they are better than or will surely beat a team that's 8-1, 7-2, 6-3, 5-4, etc. In 2002 the Bucs won the SB, yet the Saints swept them that year. Whether the Saints were "better" than the Bucs didn't matter. What mattered is that the Bucs won the games they needed to win.
