Since the creation of the NFC South, does anyone know what the earliest clinch has been? I expect we will clinch the division this week. I'm wondering if the South has ever been clinched earlier.

That is a good question. I wonder if the 16 game season instead of 14 would make any difference as far as having to play more to clinch the play offs? We're on our way to setting a lot of new records.
