Redskins field preperation

Interesting information from the FEDEX field grounds-keepers. They were told while removing the tarps to leave as much water on the field as possible. It appears that some genius in their organization figured it would slow down The Saints aerial attack. Well for a tarp-ed field it sure was a mess on Sunday. And in fact it did in fact slow down The Saints.

But before Sean Shuisham the FG kicker for The Skins was let go he explained the missed FG. He simply said that his plant leg was slipping from the wet field and couldn't keep the kick straight.
Ironic isn't it, would love to know who the water boy in the front office was that gave the order to alter the field.
Danny? Vinny? maybe Tom Cruise couldn't have been Zorn he's too busy looking for houses back in Seattle!!
Who Dat!

If this were true, doesn't that count as cheating, just like "spygate?" If so shouldn't they take draft picks away and fire the grounds crew and the guy in the front office. Oh well we still out ran them.

I was wondering how it could be that sunny, and that muddy, at the same time. We were talking about this at the bar Sunday. Someone could have gotten seriously hurt over this little stunt. Serves them right, losing the game. If you can't win with your talent, then you should just forfeit, before risking someone's career for your own selfish goals.

... wouldn't count as "cheating" since both teams are playing on the same field.

Its not cheating its called home field advantage that backfired.

Once when I was playing we went on the road and another school had grew the grass long to try and slow us down.

Just like that one game that was on the top 10 bad weather games. The team intentionally let the field freeze to screw with their opponent.

Home. Field. Advantage.

Saints have a fast track in a dome - advantage: Saints.

Anyone remember Soldier Field a few years ago? It looked like the groundskeepers had been on strike for December.

Like Euph said, whatever the conditions BOTH teams have to play it.

I saw McKenzie in particular slipping A LOT and thought it might have something to do with this.

PS - where did this information come from? I'd like to share it on the Redskins board....
