With the 28th pick in the draft Saints select?

Wow. 13-1 and the Saints are done.
I understand hating the loss to the Cowboys but giving up on the year? Euphoria? Sounds more like depression.

Some people can't wait to get into "Wait Until Next Year" mode.

Greg Hardy or Sean Weatherspoon if either fall. And if we are just going to wish it Mount Cody or Gerald McCoy would be a huge (get it?) upgrade.

lol one thing i noticed in this thread is a common thought that we will be appearing in the super bowl this season.....what a huge step up from the last couple seasons......a losing franchise to super bowl favorites

i wish i could dig up all the threads about payton being arrogant and selfish and wanting the passing record for himself and not wanting to run the ball ever

somebody was wrong....im not going to say any names tho

payton and GW are one of the best combos in the coaching game in the entire league

who's our offensive coordinator again?

Re: With the 28th pick in the draft Saints select?

...the Saints select WIDE RECEIVER Dez Bryant, Oklahoma...

If available as projected at the end of Round 1, I like these guys...

NT Terrence Cody, AL
DE Greg Hardy, Ole Miss
LT Joseph Barksdale, LSU
DE/LB Von Miller, A & M
RB Jahvid Best, Cal

It's never too early to discuss draft...

remember couple of things, we will have two picks from last year coming up this training camp, both from wake forest - Chip Vaughn and Stanley Arnoux, they looked promising when we got them but have missed their entire rookie season

We have a boat load of wlb's right now. Will any pan out? Who knows. Slb is higher on my list. Glaring weakness once scott got injuried.

Here's an idea, for all the people complaining about discussion topics in here. COME UP WITH SOME
OF UR OWN THEN. I'm looking around, and I don't see any with ur names on them. All I see are
smart ass remarks, insults, and condescending attitudes, on everyone else's topics. Let's see what's
on ur minds? And let's be a little more specific than "woohoo, we're 13-1. Woohoo I can't believe it".

Re: With the 28th pick in the draft Saints select?

I figured I'd ask this here instead of starting a new thread and getting beheaded in the process.

But what would the trade value of Reggie Bush be? Is he worth enough to another team to give up a first round pick?

Same here. I'm not letting one loss get me down, and my hopes of a Super Bowl are still pretty high. I know there are a lot of things that need to change and the team needs to get back all the injured players, but I'm not counting them out of anything....not after the season they've had thus far.

What? The 28th pick? Are we going to trade down?

I don't see why its considered giving up to discuss the draft. Its just a topic someone
obviously wanted to discuss. I mean, the draft WILL eventually be here. It doesn't mean
anyone is giving up. Just talking here.

i know what you mean and i have nothing against it but im not talking about "giving up" in relevance to this thread topic of draft picks.. im talking about the "comments" people have left on this thread.. there seems to be a stir of emotions and im just concerned as to why were acting that sort of way.. i know that the loss to dallas was an emotional one.. yet, we cant let it deter our confidence in getting to the superbowl and of course eventually winning it.. i am not getting ahead of myself here.. i just know its our year.. so uhhh.. lets just not turn on each other and just let the weeks pass..

SaintPauly 12-23-2009 12:17 PM

Re: With the 28th pick in the draft Saints select?

Agreed. I myself have made some comments, referring to last weeks debacle, that
should have been more thought through. Sometimes drunken emotions overcome
sanity. But one thing I want to say, let's not be too hard on ourselves, or each other.
As has been pointed out, that was our first loss of the season. We went 14 weeks riding
that high, so no one should be surprised, that when we crashed, there was some freaking
out. People can say what they want, now that the perfect season idea is over, but I
don't think there was one person in here, everyone being honest of course, that wasn't
completely onboard with an undefeated season.

Sometimes we get excited by the thought of something. And as it becomes more of
possibility of coming true, we almost become consumed by it. When u have low
expectations, anything higher than that will be considered a success. But when those
same expectations sky rocket way above where u thought they would be, then we tend
to get upset, when they fall short.

Disagreements are fine with me. But what bothers me lately is the lack of comradery that
has been displayed in here lately. Condescention, and personal attacks have no place here.
Especially considering that we are all supposed to be on the same team. Wasn't that
what we were making of SR for the other day?

I promise to lighten up, if everyone else does. A lot of season left to go yet. I for one
don't want it to end ever!

Euphoria has been posting here a long time and doesn't need to be called down by some new guy who doesn't even show good decorum. He knows his stuff and is usually upbeat. If you don't like it take your :moon: somewhere else!!!!!!This board is being taken over by SRs rejects.!!!!!!!:argue:
