"Bandwagon fan" is a word reserved for SaintsReport.com and the cultists that live there that think a loss like today is either "fine and dandy" or you must be a bandwagon fan.

The men in the Saints locker room need to be equally as ****ed as the fans on this forum and then maybe we'll have something next week.
Agreed on all points.

Good Riddance Mr. Roboto,

I hope the door hits you on the way out. I will never root for another team unless their victory helps the Saints. I will never turn my back on this team, I am from New Orleans and this is my team. Nothing pisses me off more than fairweather fans and bandwagoneers.

Soak in the loss and let's hope this makes our boys realize nothing comes easy in the NFL and no one is going to lie down to let them make the Superbowl.

From what I gathered he sounded pretty sure and calm. I never said nor thought that I was morally superior or a better fan(well after his post maybe a better fan.) Yes, while in my teenage years I've broken a few things, not out of rage, just not being aware of my surroundings. But to say you are done with this team, a team that still controls it own destiny, which is looking a little bleak right now, I just don't understand.

13-2 with a first week bye and still a possible top seed? Not even close to panicking. This Tampa game was an absolute letdown to be sure, but close up shop? Not even close.

Re: Anybody else about ready to pack it in?

Everyone needs to just chill (well, maybe not everyone --- some of you seem pretty relaxed) ... We lost today and it was EMBARRASSING no doubt, but we are still 13-2 ... We still have a first round bye and still a chance.

Okay, now that I've gotten all of the "politically correct" things out of the way to somehow PROVE to all of you that I am neither a bandwagoneer or fair weathered fan ... Man, I am PISSED!!! And I mean fuming mad at these CLOWNS. For those of you that have been fans for a long time --- I honestly get why you want to "hang it up" But, I've also been a fan long enough to know you are just saying that out of pure emotion and anger ... All of us know that you can't just "walk away" it doesn't work that way. You can leave N.O. if that is where you live, but you can't leave this team REGARDLESS of where you live! I've never lived in Louisiana (and I never plan to), but I couldn't stop loving this team even if I tried.

In the end this team won't make the SB and I'll be depressed, but I'll be back next year and the year after, etc, etc. All of you will be too ...

Temper tantrums.... That is the funniest post I have seen all year.... You are a better fan than he is... seriously.... you should have a jersey of your own, and the team should bring you out during introductions. You are by far the "better fan". maybe you should sing the national anthem next week. just because you have been through quote "hard times" doesn't mean you should come to expect it... And it certainly doesn't mean you should expect to get kicked in the face when you are finally standing on your own two feet. every man, or woman has his, or her breaking point when it comes to faith. faith only goes so far....

Re: Anybody else about ready to pack it in?

I think I speak for many when I say that I have not given up on the Saints, but have instead given up on the thought that we walk through the NFC and end up in the Superbowl.

We're going to have to put together 8 consecutive quarters of our A game to make it, and that's something we haven't done in MANY weeks.

So...

Packing it in on the Saints being a sure thing for the Superbowl - YES!!!

Packing it in on the Saints themselves - Not no, but HELL NO!!!!

Any other season we'd be doing cartwheels after a 11-5 season and I cannot see myself getting too depressed about this season if it were even the Rams beat us this week (Hell, they may as well have)

Re: Anybody else about ready to pack it in?

I became a fan, when Hank Stram was head coach.... I was still a fan, when we drafted Archie Manning.... I was still a fan when Bum Phillips took over... I was still a fan when Bum Phillips bailed out... Through Mora, the Dome Patrol, Everette, Collins, Ditka, Haslett, McCarthy, and now Peyton, I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN A FAN. But if you expect me, to watch a game, like I did today, LOSE, and come in here with positives, just for the sake of keeping the peace, you can kiss my black and gold azzzzz... Question my fanhood? I could give a shi$. I don't like to lose games to 2-12 teams, when my team is supposed to represent the NFC in the superbowl.

I've been doing this long enough where the approval of a few "so called" hard core Saints fans, means about as much to me, as welfare cheese. I am mad about this game. And any true Saints fan should be just as mad. If not, then I guess that the "hippie" movement meant more to you than me.
