From the Panthers site to you Billy :P
Delhomme means \"the man\" in French, and Jake was just that in leading the Panthers to a come-from-behind 24-23 victory over the Jaguars. |

Hey Billy, take a look at this:
Comp %: Delhomme 60%, Brooks 65% - advantage Brooks Yards Per Attempt: Delhomme 6.1, Brooks 6 - we\'ll call it a wash Yards Per Completion: Delhomme 10.2, Brooks 9.25 - Advantage Delhomme TD/INT Ratio: Delhomme 3:2, Brooks 1:1 - Advantage Delhomme Fumbles Lost: Delhomme 0, Brooks 1 - Advantage Delhomme Win/Loss: Delhomme W, Brooks L - Advantage Delhomme Brooks has better receivers and a better RB... what\'s the story with THAT? |

And are ya really surprised? If Delhomme can come in AT THE HALF and pull off a win after being handed a 17 POINT DEFECIT... I wonder what he could have done at the half AGAINST the Panthers... Or the Vikings... Or the Bengals...
I didn\'t have to wait to see the Saints game to get pissed off again. I was pissed off as soon as I saw that comeback. He came in, and all of a sudden the team came together. Davis started getting holes from the o-line and using them effectively. He brought the intangibles. He brought leadership. He brought confidence. He brought hope. But look at the bright side. If we go 1-15 we can draft Eli Manning next year... Then we can trade Donte Stallworth and release Joe Horn so he has no one to throw to. Then we can go 1-15 again and draft a good rookie WR. Then by the time he gets good we can trade Eli Manning, forcefeed a 50 year old Doug Flutie enough geritol drag his ass out on the field, and wonder why we lose. AAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

While the majority will not bash Brokks, I must admit that I have at times bashed Brooks.
Remembering back 2-3 weeks ago, I posted a note saying Delhomme may not have been ready to start based on limited playing time, it was stated that we will rue the day we let him go. I don\'t was to play Nostradamus, but...... |
