New Orleans Saints kick returner Courtney Roby fumbles in the closing seconds of the first half in their 23-10 loss to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.

Although a few New Orleans Saints players left Sunday's 23-10 loss to the Carolina Panthers with apparent injuries, Payton said his team made it through the contest relatively healthy.

Perhaps the most serious was to kick returner Courtney Roby, who had to be helped to the sideline after suffering an apparent concussion in the first half when he fumbled a kickoff with five seconds to play in the first half.
Roby said he didn't remember much about the play, other than the hit. He also said he had never suffered a concussion before.

"It's not too much I remember," Roby said. "I remember the hit, and everything else was moving in slow motion. But I'll be fine. It's just one of those things where I've got to do what the doctors say. I'll be fine."

Rookie Malcolm Jenkins also left the game with an undisclosed injury in the first half and did not return. Fullback Kyle Eckel, safety Chris Reis and receiver Robert Meachem all "had their bell rung" and had to be helped from the field. But each returned to the game.

"We will see where they are at (Monday) from a treatment standpoint," Payton said. "But by and large we came out of it pretty healthy."

Meaning they all had concussions. Glad we have the bye week. Concussions are no game and we need those guys healthy.

Drew Brees came to the Saints because he was injured in a Week 17 game. I am delighted that we went half ass in this one.

How many times have the Colts proven the Ball-Up-in-the-Fetal-Position approach to the playoffs doesnt work?

I hope SP knows what he's doing. Its certainly not impressive to watch.

Yeah great quote guys. While Carolina was flying 100mph we were digging in our heals to take the blow. I'm very surprised someone didn't get an eye poked out.
