this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Did anyone do an analysis of Greer's play in the Carolina game? how many reps? did he see any action? Box score said 6 tackles, but what about his pass defending??...

Re: Greer?

Erased the game 2 minutes after it ended, but I don't remember his name being called at all on any of the Carolina plays, which I guess is a good thing for a CB.

Re: Greer?

His run support helps a lot too. I saw him come up a few times and make some plays there too. He is a huge help. Him and porter backs is beyond fabulous!!!!

Re: Greer?

He played i think they said 18 plays overall. You could tell when he was in, and the impact that he has on the defensive play as an overall unit. I expect our d to be back to the aggresive ball hawking nature. Sharper can now roam the field and read the QB with no fear.

Yes I think a healthy cb core and sharper is what our defense needs

Re: Greer?

Was he in on that big running play by the Panthers?

I think I remember them saying on WWL that we were running a 4-4-3 defense on that play and I didn't remember which member of the secondary was out...

Re: Greer?

He looked solid. Looked as if he didn't miss a beat. Came up great against the run.
