this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; We just need Sharper or Harper to put him on his backside one time, so what if we draw a flag at least it will grap their attention....

PERFECT CALL STRATO, STAR POWER LENIESTY,HE WAS A POSTER BOY WHEN HE CAME INTO THE NFL, BEING PUSHED AND DECORATED BY NFL ALLPRO WIDE RECIEVER ??? . HE PLAYED FOR MINNISOTA . NOW HE'S A ANALIZER FOR HBO AND ESPN . WELL SOMEONE WILL REMEMBER WHO I'M YAKKING ABOUT. I'M THINKING THE DOME WILL EXPLODE IF HE GOES TO HIS PUSH OFF NORM. WE NEED TO TAKE HIM OUT THE GAME WITH A FEW SOLID HITS BY SHARPER. THEN HE WILL START SHORT ARMING A FEW BALLS THEN HES DONE.

Re: Larry Fitzgerald push-offs

In the game against the Pack the Refs basically let Woodson molest Fitz and let Fitz push on Woodson. They let these guys go at it. There were a ton of no-calls throughout the game. As a Cards fan it was good to see them let the teams play a little more loose. Fitz is a big WR and pretty powerful, but he is not really known to push off. At least I have never heard that one.

Might be wrong but is it not a penalty if the DB impeeds the WR's route after 5 yards?

Welcome to the forum DieHard... wasn't there a penalty called on AZ after one of the WRs ran over a DB? I can't remember if it was that game or the Bal/NE game. But the DB was just standing there and the WR ran him over while the ball was in the air. It was called offensive pass interference.

your point is taken card man but the same was not considered for the rest of the recievers, what i think we"re trying to get across is that there exposing the stars to succede for the ratings if you know what i mean. but man in a game that means it all, not the first game of the year when i could see the ref's letting them play. and now the whole world watching these botched calls. everyone sounding off on this means hey man where's the call ref. you blind zebra.

Yes it would be if the ball was in the air and the DB was going for the ball.

And thanks for the welcome! Looking forward to the week and the game. Flying into town Friday night for the game.

I do not recall a Off Pass Interference call in the Cards/Green Bay game. But to be honest it could have happened. I took my 6 year old son to his first playoff game and we unfortunately had to get up several times. Such as I missed the Green Bay onside kick.
