Colts Saints Superbowl...

So this guy says: and he says a few other things.

New Orleans: The Saints really didn't stop Arizona from scoring on Saturday afternoon. Certainly, they scored many more points than the Cardinals did, but that was all the offense. Arizona killed itself with pretty much unforced turnovers. WTH IS THIS GUY TALKING ABOUT

Drew Brees didn't fare too well against the last team the Saints played with a really heavy pass rush -- the Cowboys in Week 16. He'll face one that might be better than the Cowboys on Sunday. THEY CERTAINLY ARE NOT BETTER

Re: Colts Saints Superbowl...

this is one thing that people forget.....the cowboys blitz a lot

3-4 teams are known for their blitz packages.....that is why everyone is so blown away at how well we blitz because we are a 4-3 team

the vikings do not blitz....they rush 4 on nearly every play and because of that we are not in any danger

they generate enough pressure with their front 4 that they dont need to blitz.....the problem is that no defensive lineman can get to drew before he gets rid of the ball.....it took blitzing LBs to get to drew against the cowboys and that had a lot to do with bushrod playing like the rest of the grass on the field(just getting ran over)

we have a lot of protection schemes to keep DEs out of the backfield......jared allen is not better than sean paytons blocking schemes

Me too. Instead I'm stuck in cold ass South Dakota, listening to the Viqueens fans go on about how they are going to "own us this weekend," and the crybaby Cowgirls fans ***** and whine because they don't get a chance to "kick our asses again" so they will be rooting for Minnesota to do it for them.

Seriously, this state is a bunch of bandwagon fans. I miss NOLA!

[end rant]

boy do i know some of them fans i've hunted pheasants up there since 1978 and have been catching crap for years because minnypause has owned us in the playoffs, but this year i'm getting it a whole different way, its called respect. and the minnynapps real fans still don't trust farve. especially since the carolina game when he went south on them. you ever hear of platte or geddes s.d. thats where we've had awesome hunts up there. and you know a true s. dak viking fan is someone who jumps bandwagons to the broncos when the broncos are doing better. i'm sure you've heard that before breesfan27. p.s. keep that cold stuff up there man.

Yeah, I've been to Platte. Once. Not much out there.

I think out of all the Vikings fan I know, only a small handful are "true" fans. The rest hopped on the wagon when Favre signed with them. And they've been talking sh*t ever since.

It's kind of nice being one of only five Saints fans up here. You can always point the fakes pretty easily.

My momma grew up here. She moved to NOLA after high school and lived there for ten years. Married my dad, who's a New Orleans native, but she wanted to be closer to my grandparents, so we moved the fam back here. Been stuck here ever since.

Where are you living? I was born in Rapid City and my mom is from Wessington. My grandparents used to live in Quinn, which is about five miles from Wall, near the Badlands.

Let's just put it out there, fans of teams like the Steelers, Cowboys, and Vikes, have never had to STARVE, the way Saints fans have. They probably became fans right after a superbowl trip, or a superbowl victory. They don't know anything about bad times, or BAD OWNERS, that refuse to pay players, or even attempt to put together a winning franchise. We as Saints fans KNOW THIS ALL TOO WELL. So let them talk, let them say what they want, because chances are if they didn't "just" join that bandwagon, they jumped on at some point in history, when the bandwagon was still riding by their freaking house.

That's why we are tougher than just about every other fan base in the gd league. There "ain't" nothing they can throw at us, that we haven't heard before. And that's truth at full percentage my friends.

I just watched the replay of the Jets and Colts and not so sure the Colts are a show in. At 1/2 there was only a 1 TD differential.

Rex Ryan's defense alone gives the Jets a chance. If they can keep it close into the second half...? They can cover Indy's receivers, and bring exotic blitzes that Peyton has never before seen.

Believe me, even though my head tells me that Indy will probably win, I would not be completely shocked if the Jets upset them.

Original Steelers fans suffered like we have. They were around for 34 years before they won in the post season and 41 years before their first superbowl but they have some young bandwagon fans that haven't suffered and spoiled by the 6 superbowl wins. So true old Steeler fans can relate to us Who Dats.

I love the story line that a Manning facing the Saints in the Saints first ever SB and Manning losing to the Saints.

Re: Colts Saints Superbowl...

Colts fan here. Jets could win if the Colts help them out (any given Sunday) but the Colts are the better team. I'm not sure what everyone's fascination with the Jets is but Manning has owned Rex Ryan's defenses for years and it's going to be tough for the Jets to score enough to win even if the Jets D hold the Colts offense down. The Jets will need defensive or special teams points and a better defensive effort than Ryan's defense has ever given against the Colts for the Jets to win this game. Could it happen? Sure, it "could". I wouldn't count on it though.

I'd love it even more if it happened in a few years for Superbowl XLVII.
