SHOCKEY & GAME STATS

With Shockey seeing limited action in the Vikes game really hurt the tempo of the offense. Looking at the O stats you wonder how in the hell we pulled this game out. All I can say is the defense showed up for this one with the forced turnovers and the pressure on Favre.

D. Brees 17/31 197 3 0
Rushing ATT YDS TD LG
P. Thomas 14 61 1 12
R. Bush 7 8 0 6
D. Brees 1 0 0 0
L. Hamilton 1 -1 0 -1
Receiving REC YDS TD LG
D. Henderson 4 39 1 16
P. Thomas 2 38 1 38
R. Bush 2 33 1 28
D. Thomas 3 32 0 17
M. Colston 2 22 0 13
R. Meachem2 19 0 12
J. Shockey 1 9 0 9

Re: SHOCKEY & GAME STATS

D does win games. Not bad for a team with Brees and our potent O.

BTW the stats really don't show much Shockey gives to the team when he is on the firld but not taking a catch.

UK WhoDat - Your right if you watch the sidelines Shockey is up and down the bench talking to our players. He is definitely a motivational force on or off the field. A while back someone wrote about his affect on the game and I have really taken notice. It's funny when he first got here a lot of us were skeptical of whether he would fit in. Now when I look at him I see Black & Gold only.

I still think we really mss Heath Evans.

You must admit that the team was cranking when he was in there & we have had trouble w/o him.

Shockey does give us a spark when he is ont he filed. I hope the 2 weeks off gives him time to heal up!!

Dave Thomas was a good pick up/fill in and made a huge catch. I'd say outside of Brees we a a great team of role players. A lot of stars in their own right with none above the team.
