Lieber/Thomas penalty
 

I just saw the replay of that call, and I gotta tell you, to me, it looked like Lieber had hands on him, WAY before the ball got there. Not to mention, Lieber never looked at the ball. At the least, it was still defensive holding, which would have meant a first down either way.

It looked like Lieber basically ankle tackled him. In that situation, of course the ball in uncatchable! If that's not a penalty, then nothing is.

It may have been defensive holding. But, as I understand the rule, for a defensive PI call, if the pass is uncatchable, the flag is usually either picked up, or defensive holding is called instead.

if a defender is face guarding with a little contact, the penalty is almost always pass interference......note the pass interference call on leber

if the defender has little contact and locates the ball in the air, there is almost never a flag....note the no-call on tracy porter against shiancoe inside the 5 yard line

the flag was thrown because the defender never looked at the ball and only played the TEs eyes

either way it was a tough call.....and either way it was only first down so maybe we would've scored a TD on the next play......who knows

The refs made stupid calls all game. They ment to call it something else... they ment to call it defensive holding not pass interference, but either way 1st down.

It wasn't the only call this happened to there were others they called it wrong but ment well I guess you could say.
