You are better than the Jets but they have the better defense and it doesn't matter if you guys are missing anyone or at full strength.
Okay- I give you that that their D is better, but their offense is like a men to boys scenario. That would be with us being the men. Both teams you played had limited passing attacks. Good luck competing against an offense that does both well. Does that mean we are going to win this game- of course not, but to pretend that beating the Jets and Ravens is the same as beating us- ummm okay- hope your team feels the same way.

We played a team as good as the Colts in my opinion. This game comes down to running the ball and defense- I like our chances in both areas. That said this game will be extremely extremely tough- for both teams, but I hope everyone keeps counting us out. Just the way I like it.

Re: Gregg Williams suggests the Saints want to injure Manning

The point I am trying to make is, with healthy corners, even on the road, we got pressure, on pretty much every team we played, on the road. Now, WITHOUT, our starting corners, against the Patriots, we shut down both of their star receivers, and teed off on Brady. I will give the TE edge to the Colts, but I wouldn't say Collier is better than Wes Welker. You take Collier out, in one on one, and that leaves Clark, and Wayne, or Addai, but our defense has been known to shut down offenses like this before.

I am not jumping any guns here, believe me. I reallize that the Colts are a great team, and this will be a great test for us, no doubt. Just comparing teams, that's all.

What's popular is not always right, and what's right is not always popular.....

I do give a huge edge to the Colts having been there before... Hopefully SP having been there with the Giants will help a lot

You are completely mis-representing what I've said. In fact, I have picked the Saints to win because of the balance of your offense compared to ours.

However, I think many here are completely delusional about your defense and their ability to get after Manning. My only comparisons to the Jets and Ravens were not in terms of a complete team, but in terms of their defensive units. Many here are confidently predicting the Saints defense to do things that those two better defensive units were not able to do. I really do hope that Gregg Williams does what he said he was going to try to do. That is when Manning is at his best and it opens up alot of things downfield.

I stand corrected. It was a long time ago.

I would also point out, the best game, in my opinion, to compare the Colts, and the Saints, would be the Patriots game. They were both played at home for both teams. If we were going to gauge both offenses, and defenses.

That New England comparison is fine except for you're leaving out the entire pass protection element of both offenses. The Patriots, in 2009, were not even in the same league as the Colts in terms of protecting the quarterback. Not even close.

The only one who is delusional is you. You act like Manning can't be touched. Whatever.

That is what the fans of the Pats, Jets, Cards, Vikes and other
teams said this season. They were mistaken just like you are.

Ask Warner and Favre bean how that worked out for them.

After our defense plants Manning's arse in the ground are you gonna
come back like the VyQueen fans and whine about how tough our
D is? Say it ain't so.

The trick is to admit it when you are wrong. Then you won't be so deluded. See you after the game in this thread. We shall see whose
pants are on the ground.

Defense wins championships. ALL that matters here is who Manning faces, not the Jets / Saints comparisons.

All these folks who say... "the other team would have one IF" are the delusional people. Period. No debate.

Would you care to back up that mouth with a wager? I usually go about a grand per bet. You up for that?

OK. If you want to judge based on your best performance and one of our worst, that's up to you. I would pick the Rams game as a common-opponent measuring stick if it were up to me and it would be just as pointless. How each team matches up against any 3rd opponent is irrelevant and that has been proven over and over, in almost every sport, time and time again.

Yes. If the Saints sack Manning twice and win the game I will donate $100 to Haiti. I don't even care if you put up anything against it.

I love Drew Brees, I do, but I understand that he knew what he was getting into, when he played Pop Warner. He had MAJOR shoulder surgery, and wasn't even projected to play again, but he came back, and I haven't heard one cry baby word out of him about it. You know why? Because he's a man, and he knows that it comes with the territory.

I don't agree with SAYING in the media, that you are going to try and take someone out. That just creates controversy, and hippies coming out of the woodworks, trying to ban the sport.

If you want a sport, where everyone dances around, and loves each other, try figure skating, or gymnastics. This is a man's game, be a man, or sit in the stands.
I got your back 100% to compare Manning or Brees to Nameth, Marino, Elway, Unitas, Montana, Starbach, hell just look at Bradshaws mug, he is proof they got hit hard .... Your comparing apples to oranges.

Those quarterback played a different game under a different set of rules. Receivers could get hit as long as the ball was not in the air, QB's got hit period.... QB's were head hunted...
