I stand corrected, even though I was basically referring to just the Seattle game.

I don\'t know what Carolina has against Weinke. All the \"experts\" said he looked the best of all 3 in training camp.

Anyway, it appears the Brooks Bashing will have to wait at least one more week before re-commencing... I think ;)

I knew and probably most others knew that you would react like this after a win. Billy, sorry I have to break this to you but this saints talk is not about YOU. Its about the Saints and if you were not here we would all be saying the same thing.

Its funny how last week when the saints looked horrible and lost you did not say you were wrong about them being a good team BUT now that the saints have won you are saying everyone else was wrong who criticized the team. What gives DUDE!

I never said I was wrong because I wasn\'t wrong. You seem to be under the impression that I said the Saints are super bowl bound. What I said is that they have a realistic shot at going to the playoffs and anyone (YOU) are foolish to go around spewing your doom and gloom talk after they lost the first game.

See FWtex and I can go and dig up the posts and show you where you are wrong and you can\'t show me where I was wrong, because all I said was ya better wait before you write them off.

Billy, I am not about to spend my time going to hunt down what you said and didn\'t say. It really is not that important to me.

I do however hear some hedging coming out of you more and more. I don\'t think you were using the statement, \"they have a realistic chance to make the playoffs a few weeks ago.\" I may be wrong(but I doubt it) but you had this team being the best in the division if not the NFC. That is a far cry from just having a realistic chance.

Let\'s stop here just for a minute. Billy, we\'ve been pretty cordial recently and even agreed a few times. However, I have to point this out...

It is no more foolish to say that they will not go to the playoffs after one loss than it is to say that they will after one win. In REALITY, their odds of going 1-15 are EXACTLY EQUAL to their odds of going 15-1.

To say that they do not have a chance to go to the playoffs right now is foolish. To say that they will, or that their chances are better than 95% of the other teams in the league is equally as foolish.

Just saying man - if we\'re going to be \"realistic\" about odds, then let\'s be real - not optimistic.

I think you have being cordial and disagreeing mixed up. Let\'s see if I can clear this up. You see I said they have a realistic chance at going to the playoffs. I didn\'t say they were going, I said they have a realistic chance. Unlike some members who go to great lengths to say the QB is stupid, the front office isn\'t commited to winning and then make it sound like we have a snow balls chance in hell at going to the playoffs. I\'m sure you have been reading the same stuff I have.................

I do believe and always will beleive that preseason don\'t mean very much. Now you guys obviously think otherwise. I think it is foolish and always will.

You\'re welcome to think preseason is useless. You\'re also welcome to think we have a chance to make the playoffs. I think maybe you missed my point. You told FW that he was foolish for spewing doom and gloom after the first game. Maybe I\'m misreading that, but to me it translates into: A) It\'s OK to believe that they have a chance at going to the playoffs, B) it is foolish to think that they are not likely to make the playoffs.

My point is simple: NEITHER of those statements is any more realistic or foolish than the other. Get it?

Nope I don\'t get it. This is a good team and the record was 0-1 last week. Why should you not believe that they have a realistic chance at going to the playoffs? Did they not have a realistic chance at going to the playoffs the last two years??? Did this team just overnight get that bad that they do not have a realistic chance at going to the playoffs. If you answer that question honestly you will find your answer...

You see, your BELIEF that the Saints CAN go to the playoffs is YOUR OPINION, which you base on certain facts that you then skew to fit your belief.

FW\'s BELIEF that the Saints MAY not go to the playoffs is HIS OPINION, which is based on certain facts that he skews to fit his belief.

Your OPINION is NOT ANY MORE VALID than ANYONE ELSE\'S. If you cannot understand this concept than I honestly have to wonder about your intelligence. I\'m not trying to attack you in any way shape or form man. Seriously, do you not get this?

One other thing... just to be crystal clear. I\'m not saying that they you are wrong for thinking that they have a chance to go to the playoffs. I\'m not saying FW is wrong for doubting that. I\'m say both OPINIONS are EQUAL - both grounded equally in reality. You need to distinguish between your opinion and every possible outcome of the future. Let me ask you this... is it POSSIBLE for the Saints to go 1-15?
