Colts Work Out MM and JD????

What?! They are scared. Please don't rat on us MM....

Two former Saints players may be on the other side of the ball for the Super Bowl. WWL's Kristian Garic reports one of them was on the Saints roster this season.

Quote:

"The Indianapolis Colts have worked out former Saints cornerbacks Mike McKenzie and Jason David," Garic said.

He says Indy is trying to get as much information as possible about the Saints, and bringing former New Orleans players to their side could provide some intelligence.

McKenzie played in 5 games with the Saints this season. He intercepted a Tom Brady pass in the game against the Patriots and had 8 tackles during his stint on the roster.

"They have taken a physical and they did get worked out by the Indianapolis Colts," Garic reported.

MM and JD could lead them on a wild goose chase. Nothing like a spy in the other camp. Colts intell is already coming across the wire.

MM COULD PROVE TO BE A THORN IN GWS SIDE. BUT THEY LET MIKE PLAY BASIC WHEN HE WAS THERE ANYWAY IF I REMEMBER RIGHT,NOT KNOWING ALL THE SIGNALS. THIS IS STILL KIND OF COWARDLY

You guys don't think the Saints are talking to people about the signals PM does at the line of scrimmage and getting as much info as possible to help decipher the signals and his tendencies?

I don't know. If they brought either or both of them on board, don't you think they would give any info possible just for a SB win?

It would be a hollow victory ring. MM is going to get one from the Saints. JD is another story, but he really hasn't played for GW.

In any case, I wouldn't worry about it. :bng:

True, but I'm of the thought that a bird in hand is better than two in the bush. And as a competitor, if I am given an opportunity to have a direct impact on a game, I might be inclined to go that route. Just a thought.

Isn't one of their starting corners banged up pretty good? Everything since OT Sunday night is a blur...

Sure they are. But that is a bit different than working out a guy that played for the team this year. Study film, watch tape, talk to other teams all you want. But unless the Colts had an injury in the secondary in the game aginst the Jets that put a guy on IR, then trying these guys out is akin to the Pat's taping scandal. Bush league move.

i haved prayed many times to the gods of football to let jason david play on a team playing us. Could you imagine the feeling of joy that would come over you if you were sean payton and was going against jason david.

Money talks. It is a business. It isn't personal.

The Saints signed Carney as a consultant so no one could snag him.

They all do stuff like this. It isn't personal except to you folks.

I don't see this as a big deal other than MM is probably better than their CBs... but who knows if he'll play.

Brees can burn MM too. Henderson or Meachem would smoke him. That is why we got rid of MM. He gives up too many big plays.

JD? Puhlease. That dude gave up so many big plays it wasn't funny.

As far as secret decoder rings, I don't think MM can give away that much info. No biggy. The game plan changes from game to game. He doesn't have a crystal ball.

Wow. This is bizarre, and disapointing. I still cant believe MM has fallen so far, that we didnt even have a roster spot for him. He used to be among the best.

Hey, Saintfan, This week has been a blur for me too. Im glad Im not the only one. Its like I'm in a haze.

Throw the competitor stuff out. If I take care of my family playing football, then I would play for the Tuskegee Dustbusters if I had to. When HP doesn't require my services anymore, then Hello IBM, and my ex-HP compadre's can call me whatever they want. If I meant that much to them they would keep me around. These guys make a living playing ball. Don't be surprised at anything that might be used that gives these teams a competitive edge. Me and a buddy were laughing the other day about JD...even though he looked like his shoe strings were tied together sometimes, he didn't miss tackles, and he didn't drop INT's.

Jason David obviously never learned the playbook, so I'm not worried about him. What's he going to tell them? "Our how strategy was to break stride very early, fall for double moves, and allow the opponent to score as many touchdowns as possible."
