Why are the Colts so much better than the Saints?

Talking heads make me mad.

When did the 09 Colts become the best team in the decade?
Sure, they went 14-0 and rested their players. Did they dominate for that 14-0 stretch? No, I don't think so. They were doubted all year long. Then they beat a #6 and #5 seed in the play-offs. Without key turnovers, the Ravens could have been in that game and the Shonn Green injury killed the Jets.

The Saints started out 13-0. Winning in many ways with many key injuries along the way. We had a bad game in Dallas and let one get away from us in Tampa. Then the Viking choke and we rested. We "Backed-in" to the #1 seed and dominate the Cardinals in every phase of the game. A team that just beat the Packars, considered "the hottest team in the NFC" by many people. Then, even though the Viking's D shut us down a little in the second Half and their O ran up 500 yards on us, we beat them in overtime. Why? We took the ball away from them 5 times.

The Colts play-off path : Flacco, Sanchez.
The Saints play-off path: Warner(FHOF), Favre(FHOF) Both of them might retire after facing the Saints.

Why aren't these team evenly matched?

They are evenly matched and if you played the game 10 times, neither team would win more than 6 or less than 4. The media is having a lovefest with Manning and the Colts now because, for the first time, they're the team that's "been there before".

As I've said from the beginning, none of the talk matters. The team that executes better will win on Feb. 7 and nobody yet knows which team that will be.

We are the best team of the decade because we had more regular season wins in a decade then any other team in NFL history.

We put together more consecutive regular seasons then any team in NFL history.

We will have 2 SB appearances in the decade

We have a 4 time MVP QB

We went 14-2 with a rookie Head Coach, 2 rookie WR and the loss of 2 key defensive players at the beginning of the season.

This season alone we defeated the best ranked defenses in football (Ravens/Jets/Broncos)

Had the Vikings not turned the ball over 5 times your sitting at home for the superbowl.

How many winning seasons this past decade have the Saints have? Now how many have the Colts have?

Overall the Colts are the team of the decade, but that doesn't mean the Saints can't win the Superbowl.

The Patriots are the team of the decade.

Not the Colts.

The Colts need this win to ensure that a team with the best record of the 00s wont be an after thought. If the Saints win. That best record wont mean s***.

If this was baseball then maybe, but in the NFL where teams play cross conference and such being in the AFC or NFC our talent would have still led us to where we are now. Outside of the Pats, there has not been one other team in the NFL that has been better ran by a GM/Owner and not contiually produced the incredible talent. Wins don't lie.
