Our A-team? Laughable

I'll bet we had more starters and key players miss that game than you guys pulled versus the Jets.

Our defense was a MASH unit with several players out and several just returning from injury.

Do your homework. The Jets were a mere 5 points down when you "pulled" your A-team. I think they would have kicked your ass regardless. Perhaps your coach pulled them to prevent the embarrassment of the Jets stomping that Colt ass and possibly hurting the forehead.

U know what, people? The Bucs are not near as bad as their record indicates. I have always respected that team, because they can burn you when you least expect. With that said, ALL of our division rivals play each other tough! Real tough! And when our defense is not healthy, well......any given Sunday! Stop dissing the Bucs, Indy! I hope they open a can of "whoopa**" on your Dolts next time they play, and they probably will!

I thought the same thing. Their defense was giving up big plays to the Jets, and their "rookie" QB. Wouldn't have been too good to player morale to go into the play offs, with a loss, at home, to a team that limped into the play offs.

I just had to interject yet again (mostly because I can't believe this guy is still at it), but you guys are being too kind. The games you won this year were blowouts and not just to anybody, we're talking good teams. You beat the Giants by 21, Eagles by 26 and the Pats by 21. These teams aren't the likes of Jacksonville, Houston, etc. The "good" teams Indy beat were Denver by 12, Miami by a whopping 4, a game they shouldn't have won and were totally outplayed (I believe you guys beat them by a bigger margin) and the most telling is the Pats that Indy beat by 1 point DUE TO LUCK. Oh but that's right, luck has nothing to do with the Colts (thank God for that horseshoe on their helmets). They are the lucky recipients of getting into the SB by not playing the Steelers or Chargers, both teams that have knocked them out of the POs before, just like the SB in 2006, they didn't have to play either team then either. Yeah, playing two 9-7 teams is really impressive. But no, there's no luck there. The whole reason Indy is in the SB is pure luck. If I were a betting person, I would definitely be laying my money on the Saints.

This whole, "our division is tougher than yours", is just mind boggling to me. Anyone who knows football knows, that division games are ALWAYS the toughest games you are going to play. I remember hearing Brees say, that as a player, you count a division win, as two wins, in your mind, because you know that they are going to be the hardest.

I think, and have always thought, that this game Sunday, is going to be a good one. No where, in any post, have I said that, we are going to roll the Colts. I said, I WISH we would, but that's not saying, it's going to happen.

This Indy guy is something else.

LOL, you're talking to a fan of a team that lost to the Browns this year (and every other bottom dweller). But you're right, division games are always nail biters and aren't the tell tale of a team. No, I've read through the threads and I am so amazed how respectful and easy going you are all here, especially when you have some teeny bopper trying to make you bow down to the greatness of the Colts. Imagine that, coming onto the Saints message board proclaiming superiority. It's pure comic relief, especially when I and most people outside of Indy see this as 2 teams nearly mirror images of one another, although I still think the Saints overall this year were more impressive than the Colts based on strength of schedule playing better teams and winning with more dominance. I for one was impressed.

Well that makes two of us my friend. Impressed might not be a strong enough word for me. Mesmerized, was more like it. I said this at the middle of the season, and I'm sticking to it. This is the best Saints team, I have ever seen, since I started watching them, oh so many years ago. This was the first year, that I can honestly say, that I wasn't scared of any team we played. Just like this game Sunday. I am not scared of the Colts. I have butterflies, because I really want our team to come out strong, and finish strong. But as stated, I am not scared of the Colts. I think these two teams match up well, and I don't see a blow out, on either side.
