The Saints hosted the Minnesota Vikings on January 3, 1988; after twenty years, the Saints would finally take part in the NFL playoffs. The game started well for the Saints as they took a 7-0 lead, but Minnesota answered by taking a 31-10 lead into the half. The Vikings added 13 more points in the 2nd half to make the final score 44-10. Despite the loss, the Saints were recognized for their accomplishments; six players were selected for the Pro Bowl and Mora and Finks were named NFL Coach and Executive of the Year, respectively.

The last defining play in the game, the clock was stopped at 44 secs....BALL GAME. Kinda eerrie. Plus, Last night when I downloaded my video of Brees at Bacchus I discovered it was 44 secs long...strange man. No, it was not deliberate.
