Ok, so I had the episode yesterday with the fish. Today, hubby and I run over to an IHOP close to our plant for lunch. They seat us, and this woman (about 60ish), with some kind of Kool-aid pink dye on the top of her otherwise all grey long, messy hair starts attacking us because we have our Saints shirts on! Starts in about how the Colts are gonna beat us, and she's a cowgirl's fan, and she's gonna marry Troy Aikman. Hubby asked her how Aikman's wife felt about that, and she said his wife was a plant! Next, she starts in on how the Saints had a contract out on poor Brett Favre, and that Manning would win because he "honors God." I asked her if his commercial where he's cursing the little kids out is "honoring God." She then decided she didn't like my mouth. At this point, the servers were trying to shut her up, and I just asked them to move us. So we moved to a different room, but you could see her harrassing everyone that sat anywhere near her! (My hubby is 6'5", and a former defensive end....so you can imagine how this woman was affecting him)???!!! Am I just being picked on, or are any of you having weird experiences that are escalating the closer it gets to game day?

Most everyone that knows me or I come in contact with has given me nothing but good wishes for the game this Sunday. Maybe you just came across someone that thought it was a good idea to take her "hate my life, I'm a loser" kind of attitude out on you because you were having a good time and enjoying life

It takes all kinds to make a world. Keep that in mind. Out here in California I have to tell it to myself EVERY day.

Two days ago someone mugged and shot the friggin ICE CREAM LADY. Takes all kinds...

But I feel you Joanie. I've been putitng up with people like that for 19 years. Ever since we moved to South Dakota and people found out I was a Saints fan, I've been getting picked on for it. Some guy told me after the Vikings game that I should just shoot myself in the face, "because the Saints won't stand a chance against Lord Peyton and the Mighty Colts. It would save you the trouble of suffering through another Saints a*s beating." It took my brother and his girlfriend holding me back to keep from leaping across the table and ripping his head off. People are just nasty and will look for any way to put other people down.

You have a Superbowl to watch this weekend - and as for that Pink-haired elderly troll... well, she has to wake up and be herself tomorrow.

I got hammered by the girl working the entrance at Sam's here in Shreveport too. She wasn't as oboxious as the psyco you're talking about but she was irritating. Don't worry about it Jonie, it's just sore loser Cowboy fans taking out their frustrations. Just smile, keep on the high ground, and move on. We know who the winners are.

BUT

Of all the opposing fans that have come to us throughout the season, you have been the saddest excuse for a "representative".

No really, it's not smack, it's true. You almost completely ignore the facts and objective insight from our generous members. You pick and choose who to respond to, at the same time ignoring posts that shut your argument down.

If she said she was going to marry Aikman, you knew she wasn't right in the head to start with. Aikman hadn't played in 10 years or so, so you know she's living in this fantasy world with the last QB to take them deep into the playoffs.

when I have folks tell me the colts will run up the score etc, I tell them that the people in new orleans will burn peytons home to the GROUND if he does that

She's just one of those cowboy fans who is still fuming that her team got steam-rolled by a team that we beat, and that they will be watching our Saints instead of America's team. She still can't handle that thought.

I wonder if Troy knows what a catch he's missing out on....Pink and gray hair is in now I think.

Budsdrinker....it's the IHOP on I-45 in Conroe! ;) Just a freak thing that we went in there at lunch, because we never do that. But the IHOP is close to our plant, and hubby just wanted to run grab something quick so he could get back in the lab and work on a project. I'm thinking next time he wants to do that I should just run to Sonic and grab us a burger, huh? !!!! Most of Conroe is "Saints-friendly", though. I went to the PARTY STORE to get things for tomorrow, and the clerks were all for us...all but one....but she wasn't obnoxious about it. Let's all HOPE that I'm taking the curse for the team with the falling fish and the crazy pink-haired wingnut. I'll take one for the team if Manning will! ;)
