Titans Blow-out????

This game scares me to death...
Saints have 1/2 the defensive starters out.
Saints a little too ecstatic about beating Texans (we were supposed to)
Titans embarrassed by division rival last week
Titans manhood slammed by coach in local papers
Titans come home to play in loudest stadium in NFL
Eddie George's talents questioned by experts
Game sold out
McNair's finger very sore
Titans want to run to keep McNair healthy
Titans want to run to keep Saints offense on sidelines
Hurricane rains may make it a wet/sloppy field

You can do the math...

This smells like an absolute blow-out.

Titans 38, Saints 17

If we win or keep it close, we may have a better team than even I thought. And I think only Billy is more optimistic about this team than me :D ;)

I have to disagree with you tweeky..the saints are going to go in there and take this game.I\'m not saying its going to be easy but i say the saints win a tough game saints 24-titans 17

Honestly - I think it depends mostly on how McCarthy calls the game. The Titans are a tough team. They want to hit you, they want to grind it on offense. If we go in there trying to pound Deuce through the 2 hole and trade blows, I think we score 10 points and lose. If we spread the field and gun it, the Titans won\'t be able to contain us. If we can get a couple of quick scores, game over. The Titans aren\'t well suited for playing in shootouts or coming back from big deficits. I hope they spread the field and open up that high-powered offense we\'ve got.

Titans Blow-out????

This is a game that, on paper, looks like the Titans should win. Even so, this still looks like a close game. They are favored by 4 1/2 at home, so that\'s an indication that this should be a game the Saints have a realistic chance at winning.

The question is which Saints team shows up. I certainly don\'t know. I think we will know a lot more about this team after this game.

Quote:

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET

Surface: Grass. Sheridan\'s line: Titans by 4½.

Keys to the game: The Saints have some real concerns on defense, where they will be without DE Darren Howard, SLB Sedrick Hodge, CB Dale Carter and DT Johnathan Sullivan. Tennessee plans to force the run, with rookie RB Chris Brown expected to be available to spell Eddie George after missing the first two games. The Titans know they will see a lot of Saints RB Deuce McAllister after struggling to stop Indianapolis\' Edgerrin James last Sunday. Tennessee doesn\'t have the corners to matchup with WRs Joe Horn, Donte\' Stallworth and Jerome Pathon, so if the defense has to move forward to stop the run, it could turn into a shootout.

Fast facts: Saints: The team is 16-9 on the road under coach Jim Haslett. ... New Orleans is 11-3 when QB Aaron Brooks has a 100.0 passer rating or better. Titans: RB Eddie George has started 113 consecutive games to begin his career, the longest streak in the NFL. ... RG Benji Olson (knee) is expected to sit out, ending his streak of 73 consecutive starts. ... WR Derrick Mason leads the NFL with 20 receptions.

2003 rankings:Saints: offense 13th (13th rush, 13th pass); defense 9th (22nd rush, 7th pass). Titans: offense 22nd (29th rush, 15th pass); defense 11th (12th rush, 16th pass)

I wonder what the response would have been if Saintz08 or WhoDat had posted this?

At any rate, if McNair plays; this thing probably turns into a shoot-out, ought to be fun to watch. If McNair doesn\'t play, we play down to the competition and maybe squeak out a win.

If McNair plays it\'s anyone\'s game really. Duece is the x-factor for me in this. If they keep Duece under 75 total yards, this could get ugly.
