*2010* Season. What do we need to change?
 

While we are still soaking up the Super Bowl victory. I will be greedy and want a second one next season. If this season goes uncapped some teams will be able to buy their way into the play offs.

Who or what do we need to be a better team? Not trying to take anything away from any players on our team. Some players need to be replaced. We have stand out weaknesses that need to be addressed.

*We can not stop the run. Yes there were a few games we did a good job, but every time i see a hand off i cringe.

I agree. There are a boat load of definite Keeps.

Maybe Loomis will pay Greg so Payton does not have to . LOL

I am good with Coaching, Kicking, and QB. There are more but i am not going to list everyone by name. Three o-line pro bowlers come to mind.

We aren't getting any younger at OLB... Shanle and Fujita are both getting up there in age. That's a position I'd like for us to address early in the draft. We need a FS to groom behind Sharper who's only probably going to be here for another year. Grant probably won't be back and McCray isn't the answer opposite Smith... another position that needs to be addressed.

On offense, keep our core intact and we should be fine. Decide whether or not we keep Brown(we need him). I'd like for us to draft a mid round quarterback and groom him under Brees for 3 or 4 years.

How many years does Sharper have left in the tank? He was much quieter in the last portion of the season after his injury. Can he do a Darrell Green and play for 18 or 20 seasons?

With an uncapped season we are pretty limited to what we can do.

Anyone who's rookie 4 year contract that ended this year is automatically extended 2 more years.
Being In the final 8 or 4 we loose the ability to pick up any free agents, we can only keep what we have.

I think Sharper has a few years left, he is out D-Leadership and mentor to the younger D-Backfield.

We need some players that can tackle.

D line, Keep J Brown @ left tackle, Move jenkins to FS and let Sharper teach him.

What do the Saints need to change? Their socks!

Overall, I don't think they need to change much. It would be nice to add some run-stopping ability on D. Teams ran the ball very well against us most of the season.

Not much. Hargrove stepped up, and we have Clancy coming back too!! Heath Evans is coming back, and Brown at LT. Greer, porter, Gay, and MJ seem to be good at CB, and hopefully Young can make a positive transition to Safety. I would like to keep reggie if he restructures, cause it is nice to have that speed. I like the core of players we have. I think we have a great frigan team man.

No they do not need to make major changes. But some teams did run "at will" against us.

I still believe they need 6 months of tackling drills. And we need to learn to play on GRASS! We always have issues on grass. Always have.. If Bell had been on turf his cut would have bit = TD!

Defense. Early in the season, our defense was a top ten defense and then fell off. This tells me we need better depth. Get our draft picks from last year healthy and another all defense draft and we should be golden.

Offense, we are fine. Brown will resign with us since he will be a restricted free agent and teams would have to give us first round compensation. Having Heath Evans back will be huge!

We have Arnoux LB and Vaughn S coming back after a year on IR.
