Dang .. I was within a couple of blocks of there ... problem is with over 800,000 people at Lombardi Gras, it was tough to get around. Great parade! I'm ready for next year's!

Man, I love Lucy's! One of my favorite places.

I tried to go there Monday morning after the NFCC game, but it was too early. They weren't open yet, and I had to start my drive back to FL.

I was watching Mayhem in the AM this morning on CSS, and they were talking about Drew Brees teaching his chant to the crowd at Lucy's. They were talking about how childish it sounded. They said it sounded like it was somthing you would teach a kid, or somthing you would hear on Seseme Street. I almost fell on the floor. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I don't think they realize that this was taught to Brees by a bunch of Marines, and that they probably just pissed off a whole bunch of Marines, who would probably like nothing more than to meet those guys at the studio door as they are leaving the building.

Jim "Chris Everett" Rome just showed a clip of this video on "Rome Is Burning". I've never been much of a fan of Rome, but he gained a little respect from me on the comments he made about Drew Brees. He posed the question "Do you think Tom Brady or even Tony Romo would do something like this? Maybe Brett Favre." He then went on to say that Drew Brees may be the best QB in the NFL, but you may debate it, but if you told him that he wasn't the best leader on the field, he would tell you "you are wrong". Kudos from me, Jim Rome.....for once in your life.

Lucy's has alway been one of my favorite bar as well. Back in 2006, I would occasionally see Fujita and Mckenzie hanging out at Lucy's. At the time, Fujita lived in the condo next door.
